"*some groups remain doubtful about the judging process because of past incidents.*"
More of the same. Rules to govern a shabby product. Truthfully the product can only be deemed shabby because people are made to pay for it as an A-class presentation, which it is not. Maybe it cant be. Nobody complains about junkanoo practice events for example, no rules, no perfection, just music
**I suggest the Tribune print its Christmas and New Years Day Junkanoo controversy story now so editors can get some extra hours sleep on those days**. *Gaps, unfinished costumes, boring, costume couldnt get to parade, late arrival at gate* and the perennial favourite, *dey rob us*. They can put Music Makers and Prodigal Sons in a hat to select the group that wont show up or appears with insufficient members for an A-group. (Seriously how have they remained an A-group year after year???)
I dont think more "money" is necessarily the answer.
We've proven over and over again that a govt can throw millions at initiatives, dig deeper debt holes at the IDB for "good" initiatives and at the end of the day, little to nothing is accomplished.
It's not the money that's the problem, it's a bunch of clueless men and women who dont know how to manage it, dont stand up against nonsense and allow a 2.5 million dollar plane to be bought for what exactly? If the "*cocaine high ranking politician*" that the PM cant find, is making decisions, guess which hole the money going in.
Somebody have to form the govt. And Lincoln Bain in my opinion is too hotheaded and irrational for leadership. His supporters love him because they feel his "*craziness*" and "*radical*" approach is precisely what we need. But what happens when you on the wrong side of crazy and the loaded shotgun aimed at you and not the shanty village?
As I commented on the Rick Fox story, it's clear to me that the crop of underperformers who play dress up to bang on desks in the HOA are not the solution.
It's possible that while somebody better be in some deep do-do over this **and** PMH needs to explain to the public what theyve done to ensure this never happens again, this may not a case of "willful" neglect. In all probability the nurses were likely asleep. I'm told this is an age old problem.
"*The things the too-cute-to-do nurses won't*"
@jackbnimble, do you recall when Mother Pratt toured the hospital and complimented the nurses on how nice they looked? She said she'd ~been all over the world and our nurses looked the best, with pristine white uniforms and shoes. At the time I commented that I believed her! this is how every govt post in the Bahamas runs. "*Look how nice they look*". "*Is that a Hugo Boss suit?*" "*Mmmm dat Fendi bag went perfectly with her outfit*". Meanwhile the entire country (our part) look like a shantytown and going to the dogs. Nursing is a hard dirty job, you have to clean people, lift people and handle human waste of all kinds. PMH should ban white uniforms, false nails and excessively long weaves immediately.
Tired of 39 grown hip men who cant put a single brain cell together to construct a functioning hospital somewhere other than on feces contaminated swamp land sold to them for God knows what by the Pinewood developer.
I'm not certain that the path for change is through politics. Not the way it operates today. Clearly neither party is interested in any independent voices on anything.
How much money does Mr Fox have to support his initiatives when the govt abandons him? Not saying that as a "*dont do it*", but as a reality to think about. What is your goal and how will you achieve it with zero support from the sitting govt of the day? Further the average Bahamian is trained to be corrupt and dependent, they will abandon you and support anything as long as they believe money will be dropped in their pocket, literally anything, look at the relationship between Nygard and his errand boys... people with his trait of feeding off young vulnerable girls in the inner city are likely trying to get into the parliament today, with widespread support from hangers on due to their long dollars.
In general High ranking political Users are aware of these dynamics and exploit them at every turn. These are realities to think about. How will you retrain minds for good?
That's the 100th bad decision in a chain of bad decisions that led them to a pastor justifying their stealing. Make the 101st decision a better decision.
You fell for it. **Did Mr Pintard say this story is one and the same? No.** This is what your leaders want you to believe.Just as they floated the idea to you (and you specifically, they like brainless people who cant think and believe whatever they say), that the indicted senior police trafficking cocaine through airports right under the Minister of Aviation's nose was a case of "*entrapment*. It was a totally ridiculous thing for the leader of a country to say. But he says these things anyway.
**In general, people make these kinds of statements, especially in court cases, to introduce doubt, to take attention from the core of the corruption**. Its characteristic of professional liars
This story "appears" to be more and mounting evidence of wide spread corruption throughout immigration, the passport office and the ports

The solution must come from outside that body.
