Had the exact same thought but just deleted the comment, what's the use? It's a bad accounting of results. Not sure how you have economic impact when costs exceed revenue... but ok. They give costs for Carifta in Apr 2023 but give total revenue from Sept 2022, it's all over the place and impossible to extract anything useful out of it.
"*When we take an index of what makes a games great, I think that’s really a matter for the people, the spectators, and everyone included, to say what that really represents to them.*"
This is why we dont improve. Fan feedback post event is **one** measure you take into account post event but that is subjective, there are a multitude of other objective measures that you can predefine and then check against what you defined as success. One such is ticket sales. Before an event you can set a measure success as *80% tickets sold*. Another might be processing time. *Each guest will be processed in 1min*. Another *95% of races start on time*. *the scoreboard is in place functional and event result data displayed within seconds of event finish*
I personally believe we keep these wishy washy standards so we can claim success no matter what the outcome is, because we hear these dubious, *no matter what happened it was a success* repeated over and over.
Im really apprehensive the upcoming meet in Grand Bahama. I hope they planned for improvement and an A1 experience for the athletes on and off the track.
"*It is further concluded that multiple shots were additionally fired by more than one shooter from at least one other position after the driver-side door was opened to at least two different angles."*
This is the most disturbing part of the account. It implies that shots were either fired after the man was dead to support the story submitted or, horrifically, to kill the individual after he was already severely wounded.
I am not saying that the food program didnt help people. It did. it was literally the only source of food for some for over a year.
I am saying the entire picture didnt add up. Tried to get this point to one individual who was stuck on Dr Minnis, and bombastic in their support, *disasters are magnets for fraudsters*, they hide in the chaos and the sheer volume of activity, who's going to notice? Thats why international non profits place such high value on transparency, so the public and donors know exactly whats happening and dont lose confidence. Wasnt the counyry given a 250 million dollar facility that they were unable to account for? And I know some people would say *oh, go dig up in the treasury and finance all the records there. We have all the receipts*. Thats not transparency. At minimum transparency requires timeliness, this 2023.
Disaster preparedness is one of those th8ngs that has to be centrally coordinated. Whats mind boggling is they gat big NEMA and DRA right there with a full time job to do that. Fires can break out in hurricanes (since hurricane is the only disaster we seem to know about)
NO. See whats happening here? Theyre strategically buying up small pieces of property from private owners. Imagine the day when the hotels and cruise ships own every piece of beach front in the country. That's where they headed.
"*The initial shot was most likely taken by a shooter standing directly next to the driver-side door, while it was closed. It is further concluded that multiple shots were additionally fired by more than one shooter from at least one other position after the driver-side door was opened to at least two different angles.*"
These are the type of intelligent people we need on the police force. We don't need more busy work saturation patrols and more cars. We need brain power or brains as we say.
**If** this was just anger acting out I hope someone speaks up. Would be a very dangerous individual walking around with a legal license to kill
