Only time will tell. I listened to the excitement of some Bahamians at the mention of "*Tesla*" and "*Elon Musk*" and I wondered why we've never learned the lesson. The foreign investor comes here to make money for "**them**", as it should be, its their investment, there is no evidence of a direct correlation to vast opportunities emerging for us beyond minimum wage jobs. And if all you want is minimum wage jobs then ok, we surpass our expectations on every project. The next question is, what will the service cost? I cant imagine that operating satellites is cheap. And why here? I see benefits for Acklins but their population is small. Every disaster mgmt teams knows about the issue with satellite phones... is satellite internet immune from disruption during storms and bad weather? I fear we get excited too often when we hear money talking as opposed to really listening to what money is saying, Elon Musk = "*this will be a great opportunity for young people, get ready!*".. again. like all the other great opportunities the young people had that propelled them so far.

Our revolution comes with cheap energy, and the oil and gas lobby een having it. They already moving in on solar to block that path to cost effectiveness

Tesla isnt magical, business is business. Revenue has to exceed costs. This same revolution was promised when Aliv hit the market

Ah Lord.

"*Mr Munroe said that the law exempts the Ministry of National Security from requirements.*"

Just as I said on the org article. **Theyve written every single law we have on the books so the minister doesnt have to obey it**. And then they try to brainwash us into believing the abused exceptions are "normal".

ThisIsOurs says...

Oh. That is the 4th possibility.

ThisIsOurs says...

There are 3 possibilities, on request from the US Embassy, on request from the cruise port or some minister or connected private party wants that land for a private enterprise. If they're calling it a "loss" I'd go with the 3rd option

"*This clause undermines the strength and independence of..*"

Note to org, this is a clause written into every law "*unless the minister says you cant*".

We're an autocracy, "*except when the president does it, it isnt a crime...*". Note to the party machinery trying to delay the investigation of a sitting minister for alledged domestic violence until the heat dies down. It never will. Write a law to force these ministers to demit office until their matter is resolved, extended vacation leave, try to act like you honourable at least. **We need to implement the rules to guard against what the framers couldn't even fathom, that the Chief could be a criminal and completely dishonourable**.

Thesr eloquent climate change speeches have become nothing but quackery as we cut down hills on islands subject to ocean level rises, hand over protected lands for oil refineries and coral reefs for cruise ship development

delusional. **In 2015 they collected a billion dollars in NEW revenue. They couldnt believe their eyes. It was far more than they anticipated**. it didnt make us any better and it never will. We actually got worse, they had more money to spend so they dug the hole deeper. Infrastructure was abandoned before COVID and Dorian. Businesses were drying up. Unemployment was rising. And we were in recession. More money wont fix us. We need to be transformed. We need new thinking it will not come from these parties who are satisfied with 5 year interval runs at the treasury

We're doomed if we continue with this money grab. It's exactly what Dr Sands described it to be. Oddly enough its biblical, ~"*when you cry to me, in the day when the leaders you chose over me take and take and take and take and take the best of the land, the cars, the houses, the women and the men, I will not hear you.*" Its literally written. It will only get worse. Tourism numbers are increasing while the impact of the tourist on the economy is declining and we are giving more and more away by fair and foul means to hold on to what we can. When the proponents of these moves cry out, it will be too late
