One thing that often stands out to me is that Bahamian teams can often look very non athletic. I dont say this about this team, it's a general statement. In today's world, national chess teams are running miles, lifting weights and emphasizing diet to prepare for and gain an edge in competition. I exaggerate the point but it's not so far off

"*Darville said that while operators may have personal preferences regarding the type of vehicles, the primary focus is always on delivering timely, safe, and evidence-based care.*"

A person taller than 5'10" cant fit on the stretcher? Isnt the point of placing them on a stretcher stabilization? This is not **safe**

Why Dr Darville continues to defend this purchase is baffling

Do they have any guidelines on purchases??? This appears obscene. Which company sold these ambulances for 1.5m to the govt and through the IDB again???

Alot of money seems to flow from the IDB down the toilet... you have to wonder why.

Where yall been? This has been going on since COVID with impunity in addition to visibly spoiling fruit at regular outlandish prices which ticked up on the announcement of implementation of VAT . A onetime Software cost doesnt explain a 1dollar difference on a single item. Its impossible to miss the months of continuous spoilage offerings unless you inspect with a blindfold and a brown paper bag

Other commenters have pointed out a fundamental failure in our governance.

When DAguilar had a very high position within a sitting administration did he put forward even one legislative ammendment that would seek to prevent fraud in govt?

Shenandon Cartwright told us the practice of giving away contracts solely on the basis of political support, not requiring the individual to be qualified or equipped to do the work, not caring if someone else had already done the work or even that the work was done, was something *they all did*. It was common practice. He didnt speak out about the potential large scale abuse of the treasury. Now he's deputy leader and if history is a judge slated to be DPM. what practices would someone making such a statement support with power and a billion dollar budget?

Chester Cooper was bold with it. He added to legislation a fundamental compliance no-no, he proposed the acceptance of gifts with no boundaries within his ministry. What does this even mean. Suppose a wealthy Sheik offers Tourism two billion in gold bars as a "gift"? No stipulation on the ultimate recipient, how the gift could be used, nothing., after all, it's a "gift". The sheik then ends up owning Andros. When exposed, some minister would pop up and say, well, it's the law, nothing you could do about it.

These potentially corrupt practices and practices open to massive ethical breeches appear to be common knowledge among those who pass through the doors. **Like requesting the kiddie carnival to pay 200k to the political party as a prerequisite to a business license. That smacks of a classic mob shakedown. But both parties do it**, kept it a secret and justify it.

The problem is while they're in power they like ethical slackness only incensed at it when someone else making the shady money.

A name change. Fox Hill is now Department of Corrections but they still using slop buckets. Unsustainable Saturation Patrols has become Clear Hold and Build. They will keep this up for a couple months maybe until they have a picture with shovels on the dirt promised to be the new hospital then they can claim to have addressed both crime and healthcare in the election campaign.

Have they mentioned when the Abaco shelter will be finished and why a roof collapse for a project that received two million dollars in additional funding for "something" stopped the entire show for months?

We need a plan for the 150,000 of us experiencing continuous power outages summer winter spring and fall, even post commissioning of miracle focol generators

The people are correct. What we advertise globally for the Bahamas is peace and quiet but only for the lucky and some tourists.

After this business makes one dollar the ministry of tourism/finance will start talking about compromise and balancing economic activity. The Bahamian public need access to unobstructed views of the ocean with sand not littered with shanty shacks or other people selling wares

Dont give in to one inch on the beach space on land sea or air

Clear Hold and Build is looking an awful lot like Saturation patrols. Recall the last time they ran into problems after willy nilly pushing down houses without notifying the owners. But if they're starting again perhaps they can push down the buildings on east Bay street.

Did they count the man whose teeth they knocked out or the woman that the ASP punched in the eye with enough force to detach her retina after she rebuffed his obscene sexual advances? In the end he had her arrested for the crime of *walking down the street* with instructions to the officers to "*bring her to **his** station*"?

Still no info on what happened to that officer, it wouldnt matter of the lady were a drug dealer, prostitute or serial killer. That's some serious sex slavery like behaviour that should have been taken very seriously. But wasnt. (Abuse of prostitutes is a serious issue by the way, they're often targets of serial killers). The only news outlet that even reported it was the Tribune everyone else said and acted like, "*not touching it*", not even to acknowledge the incident happened.
