Yes I noticed. Also noticed that yesterday's story mentioned an "*alledged*" firearm. Then in same story said police had confiscated the weapon. Huh? How do you "confiscate" an alledged weapon? Then comments were disabled.... for the case of a man found with an illegal gun and ammunition??

Barbeque will be one in a long line of black leaders who rise to power on populist movements then gobble up the country's riches. I dont buy it. Not after all the killing and releasing all the prisoners, none of it makes sense

The black nationalism vs the white imperialist sounds good. Haiti is in the state ots in for 2 reasons. First an foremost an almost unending sequence of devastating natural disasters. Nobody caused it. It happened and they needed help. They could **not** help themselves. Second internal corruption. Just like the Bahamas, billions flow in but somehow get stuck right at the seat of power.. black power while the masses suffer poverty and higher and higher prices

"*Not only that you can’t cut it, if you mess with it and tamper with it, the signal goes off,” he said yesterday.*"

But I thought Metro also said when individuals attempt to tamper with devices they had a practice of notifying the police and the issue was police response time

Noone needed to "carry" the story.

An advisory from the US State Department to be vigilant on travel to The Bahamas, where 7 million US citizens vacation every year, based on a a dramatic rise in murders, doesnt need any help from any Bahamian to raise the volume of the loudspeaker.

The news reporters came to us.

Hmmm, perhaps he could have the conversation with the Police commissioner about police brutality. A week or so ago he said "*if*" it became a problem he'd have a conversation with him. It's past being a problem

They should also discuss rules of engagement. Nobody should be shot in the back and killed while running away, if they're running away, noone is in fear of their life. Mad police car chases are a danger to the public added to the practice of exchanging gunfire while doing so. Find another way

This is mystifying. If the Securities Commission had never given ArawakX the approval to open bank accounts followed by ArawakX using MDollarz to open bank accounts as MDollarz had no like requirement to get permission from the Securities permission to do so, how was all this done with the Securities Commission not being aware? Because they were very public about all of their customer seeking activity.

"*The Company conducted a ‘public offering’ without seeking the approval of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas*"
But how is this possible?? Had the SCB gone on sabbatical?

I said public "*adversaries*", lol. "*public advisories*

Does anyone remember when Bahamians stopped wearing lots of jewelry for regular outings?

It was a "*thing*". It coincided with a dramatic uptick in gold chain, watch and handbag snatchings. Remember one lady recalling how a boy reached in her car to pull her chain off her neck as she sat at a street light.

The "*police*" then put out public adversaries to women, not to carry large bags, which had become popular at the time.

I dont know who we trying to fool. Please tourists dont wear flashy jewelry and dont travel with large amounts of cash. That's what Bahamians practice too.

Since they didnt say the car hit him, maybe as he lost control he collided with a car and the collision caused him to be projected some distance with a very hard landing

I saw an article on this last week, it was related to another tourist destination and danger of escooters, cant recall where I saw it but picked this up from anesthesiologynews.com

"*However, their (escooters) growth and accessibility has been associated with a sharp uptick in deaths, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), internal organ injuries and extremity fractures. The speed of such devices—while certainly an attractive aspect of commuting—also can be deadly, partly related to danger to pedestrians and a lack of people wearing helmets and padding to protect their bodies. The silent nature of their electric motors also can be a danger to others, as drivers often weave in and out of traffic and sidewalks.*"

I do think tourism needs to look at the kinds of vehicles being rented to tourists giving them the impression that our roads are for joyriding
