Since they didnt say the car hit him, maybe as he lost control he collided with a car and the collision caused him to be projected some distance with a very hard landing

I saw an article on this last week, it was related to another tourist destination and danger of escooters, cant recall where I saw it but picked this up from anesthesiologynews.com

"*However, their (escooters) growth and accessibility has been associated with a sharp uptick in deaths, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), internal organ injuries and extremity fractures. The speed of such devices—while certainly an attractive aspect of commuting—also can be deadly, partly related to danger to pedestrians and a lack of people wearing helmets and padding to protect their bodies. The silent nature of their electric motors also can be a danger to others, as drivers often weave in and out of traffic and sidewalks.*"

I do think tourism needs to look at the kinds of vehicles being rented to tourists giving them the impression that our roads are for joyriding

This is no longer funny. Shane Gibson and his expensive shingles, then we pay him for saying shingles shouldnt cost that much and where the receipt btw?

Parliament continues to raise taxes on Bahamians and seize their assets like the Sheriff of Nottingham while "*someones*" is raiding the treasury in broad daylight of billions of dollars through exponentially overpriced construction and technology projects. Added to that Chester Cooper wants to make it legal to establish a special fund to accept gifts? What's that?

I hope this new hospital policy shift isnt more of the same 1960's divvying up the pie so you get some and I get some not caring about the primary concern of affordable healthcare.

The 30million dollar digitization should have cost no more than 500k-1m but accepted at 30 times that. Is the IDB unwittingly complicit because they earn income off of the loans to support these outrageous contract valuations. Marco's alert submitted at 4.3 million should have cost less than 20,000. And even that's alot. You can purchase text messaging subscriptions for 500 dollars a month targeting hundreds of thousands of users.

All of this cant be dumb people in charge. This people with one objective of stuffing their pockets in charge. This has got to stop. How outrageous it is that they can give a communication in the house that would see NIB rise to almost 30%? Its ridiculous. Surely someone should say *this is what could happen if we dont change education, productivity, innovation, poverty, heres the 20year plan to short circuit this*. But nothing, crickets from these brain dead people. What are they going to propose next? Reintroduction of slavery and free labour? An official post of Pharaoh?

"*at the expense of lower electricity costs*"

Nobody especially Jobeth Coleby Davis has explained yet how this will bring lower electricity costs. I believe the opposite will be the case at least for a few years, why? Because they told us so when they brought Power Secure the first time. The same manager, Alstrom(?) whom theyve said was key to crafting the PowerSecure businessplan is back, and by their explanation, was key to the proposal requesting a rate increase out the gate. Nothing change. Now, a rate increase might be needed to turn BEC around. I am saying stop the obsfuscations. Stop selling us dreams of lower costs to sell us election lies if you are fully aware the first thing you plan to do is increase prices. Because we all know what increased electricity rates will bring. Hellfire. Prices will increase everywhere on top of prices that are currently ridiculous, based on nothing except govts riddled with kickback corruption, inability to think and obsession to stifle all innovation they dont personally profit
from. They cause this situation with their greed. So dumb, now they paying high gas, food and business license fees and living in the same land of their creation where their 15yr old grandchildren could get murdered at any minute from people (incorrectly) trying to survive

Obie Wilchombe was a sitting cabinet minister and at the time of his death could not get funding for infrastructure work in grand bahama.

Local govt is a nonstarter if you're expecting funding from the govt. They will give and take to suit their political purpose which will render any islands local govt a political tool. This will be unless local govt has funding independent of the govt.

You have to remember that their power comes from offering money to communities, not from leadership ability. look at Braves pitch during GB bielection. They will not give that up willingly. Look at the contracts headed to Exuma and Cat Island.

I had a thought similar to this when I read the title "*Davis man on fire*". I thought KB's *hold dere feet to the fire* had somehow spread to butts and other regions

On PM Davis is a man on fire

"*Further, in line with the seasonal demand for foreign currency, external reserves declined over the review period, albeit a moderation vis-à-vis the same period last year.”*

In the budget debate Brave Davis put great emphasis on revenue exceeding projections. And he should, that's positive news for the country. Extremely troubling though in light of that, with more money coming in than they expected, they somehow found two times as many unprojected items to spend it and nonexistent money on. This is a repeat of the VAT launch. They crowed up and down about one billion dollars being collected, they revealed that theyd had no clue they could bring in so much. Then it disappeared in another deficit.

Lately Chester Cooper has been making much about record breaking tourist numbers. Up to 9 million I believe. One of the benefits of a tourist visit is foreign currency inflow. According to the central Bank while we were experiencing Chester Cooper's historic 9 million visitors, external reserves fell. We havent had a hurricane, we havent had a pandemic...

Our outcomes aren't fitting the narrative.

One thing that baffles me is when people join groups claiming liberation and then end up enslaved by the new and always weird and crazy rules set up by the leaders. Notice this trend typically in radicalized groups be they religious, afro-centered or criminal
