I think that plant is just old. I remember moving to Nassau from Abaco in 1972 as a lil boy. BEC was rolling, no blackouts and low light bills. It needed to change. A move like what bernard Nottage did with the defence force boats need to be done... just do it. It will be foot in ya chest from the opposition and you may even loose an election, but hey its need to be done.
I knew him and his parents from back in Abaco. His father was a policeman. All of the testimonies are true he was indeed as you said Godson,... one of the kindest, respectful and most pleasant personality one could ever come into contact with. he was an excellent example of a human being. Deepest condolence to his family. may his soul rest in peace.
I watch the newscast yesterday, he was almost smiling. happy to see the damage done and then, on the other hand, he said he was concern about the safety and security of the staff...sounds crazy to me. This guy always put a smile on my face
This Disney and Post office things is a pain. Both the government and opposition had sat and it was pass., it wasnt done in secret. Not sure why we still here as a newspaper. The expression, "beating a dead horse" comes to mind."
I did a number of operations with immigration and the defence force during my day in uniform. Nobody wants to get arrested, they will fight, jook, stab, chop anything to avoid being taken. This is one side of the story, its always about me, I and my.. Ill say this, taking the individual's freedom from him is not a walk in the park. Lives are on the line your or theirs. Don't be fool by that story. Officers are trained to uses more force than then suspects, up to killing if necessary.
