I am really sorry for this PLP bandwagon with this dude in charge...And he wan be prime minister. The foolishness he be rambling on with make me sick to my stomach. The woman has a right to resign if she feels so, everything don't have to be political.
I was fortunate to leave before I was sent home. life is funny, I saw many being sent home the same way when I was there. I served along with those who are being sent home now. Its a revolving door. You get to watch those sent home before you, years later your time comes. Many never took note of the way the ones that were sent home when it was their time. Now it these guys time and they still stayed and waited to be sent home just like the ones before...Now a new set is watching these ones get sent home and they will make the same mistake and stay until they get sent home. Sounds like a parable... same story , different day.
Chester dem would have been happy to see it Rutten down like the bazaar I guess...It closed under their watch, they should be happy to see it open...but they bad mouth the progress from day one. It will open and they still wouldn't be happy. I think PLP people will be working there too. So forget politics,
I agree with all the top comments , buuuuuttt....every Bahamian knows you are innocent til proven guilty, so why tell the truth? the chances of getting off with a lie when they break into your houses, steal your cars and kill you is pretty much a good one....Bahamians lie...alot.. so just how does one get to know the truth.. hummm.. these case has 2 sides... the police wrong for bruatlity... but how would anyone be change.. without a confession? the the powers that be cud say when you don't tell the truth, ok you cud walk due to lack of evidence?...so everyone go free...I notice everyone crying fowl when they are arrested, some fake limping in front of the camera....we need to think about this from all sides...no dis respect to no one.
The vacation pile up is something that goes with the amount of money you make. I think Those A.C.P.s got 6 weeks a year plus 10 casual leave. They never touch their vacation and just use the casual leave. The police Act govern's much of the decision making, not the Public Service Act. So you would find that the police in most cases operate under Police Act. But As I stated previously, in the police force after 30 years you are serving at the pleasure of the Government. They don't owe you 40 years or age 60... pay all ya bill between day one and 30 years, after that you are on borrowed time.
From where I sit, seems the murder count is 15 or 16 or there about. let's say it holds til month end then Divide that by 3 months and you have 5 per month, times that by 12 and you get just over 60 in projection.... do that math, its not as bad as it seems, last year was 91. Government should be praise, sorry I mean the police . That is pretty low. We have seen worst in both previous administrations. When I was in the job we was happy with 8 and 9 a month which worked out to be 96 (8) and 108 (9)... all about the numbers. We can't stop killings, no one can.
