Madam, people are hurting, all political persuasions, no colors in the blown away houses. Maybe you gat ya own insurance like me I really care less about the government or his money, I don't need it...I made provisions to get my own, I made sure put things in place for my family for times like these, please don't make it political...
I know I will get in trouble for this, so I ask forgiveness before I begin my post. Still I wonder why Bahamians in general still depend on a goverment in crisis like these. And its the vast majority. But we have some sort of natural disaster every year. Just across the street from me a tornado tore a roof off here in Freeport... so many of us live as though we have a rich country, we don't buy insurance and we are satisfied with handouts.. from the government, other people... maybe we need to do proper planning, I don't know, but last year it was a mess. Same again this year. Next year it will be the same because we are in the hurricane belt. Yes.. I know most are unfortunate, so what do we do? get mad if the government because he didn't pay our bill, fix our houses and businesses ? What do we do. we all are struggling, but one thing I do every year is make sure pay my house insurance. Freeport has its share of horror stories. life is a continuous cycle, each year we have spring, summer, fall and winter... summer is hurricane time, maybe we will start preparing in the other three seasons...forgive me.
Agreed Dilly, its a bad habit Bahamians have. Borrowing and not paying back. Then other now crying out for them, but if you can't pay back don't borrow, its not political, its criminal!!!
While we play the blame game, people are dying, frankly I agree with jackbnimble, the island is too small. I left Nassau in 1995 because of the three C's, crime, the cars and the crowd. Seems everyone is complaining but not doing anything. Some of you who post about Marvin Dames .. well shut up and form a crime watch group in your area and patrol your neighbourhood, don't just sit and talk, you have to live there, so something. Its not political, and will not ever be any better, crime will get worst . Every year young men come out of school with no education, they have no desire to work, so they teef, and mess up society. Be apart of the solution, bring up ya children right, send then back to sunday school. Change has to start from with in. I been away from Nassau for 22 years, hell I ain gion back there to live. if I can help it.
Nassau has it really good, Freeport has 4 ICU beds to service the entire island almost 55,000. Patients in GB has long been in the hallways, that's all they know. Brave Davis took the Old hotel that the former PM had purchased for more hospital space and let it become an eyesore down town before they they finally knocked it down. Years pass they are now building a cafeteria... still no beds that needs fixing too. The population is growing here in Freeport as well.
Hey guys i guess its ok for MP's to do criminal activity and not be prosecuted.. Well that what Brave is saying. This guy still talking the same fool what cause them to get kick out...some leader..
