“The Ministry of Education is collaborating with the Department of Information and Technology to implement the new ID system.” Just another system to be implemented on a society that is becoming more hedonistic, self-centered, and essentially violent and disrespectful because it is God-less. Left to our own basic nature we are nothing more than beasts needing to be contained, ID’d, and managed.

“Very bad people, very bad gang members, and very bad drug dealers. Like him or not, Trump called it, as it clearly is!

The loss of any life is deeply sad, and condolences go out to those who are grieving. The violence associated with a loss of life is also tragic. Though all the facts are still emerging, according to one report a young suspect was being seen by a Counsellor for verbalizing murderous thoughts towards his father. He was seeking help in a positive way. Apparently the Counsellor said he should talk it out with his father. If this is true, my concern is that not only do we have a growing mental health issue since Covid but that we have an inadequate understanding of the Best Practice methodology for healing the psychological and psychiatric issues at hand! Who sends an angry man to see the cause of that anger while he is contemplating murder? Gangs, drugs, money, corruption, we have an abundance of such criminal behaviors, just as we have an abundance of childhood sexual and violent abuse, trauma! Anger can well up to an irrepressible degree when these crimes against us have no proper recourse!!! Now we shall lose another life (or two) to our dysfunctional criminal system. The loss of any life is a sad thing to our community/society/nation.

“Red” Communism or “green” World Capitalism….same colour, different lenses. Evil is as evil does. Different faces, same antichrist. Trump appears to be anti World Order, Putin appears to not be a Soviet…but, are they red-green (or some other colour of the spectrum) shape-shifters or genuinely transparent, time will tell. Let their be light!

Oh, yes….lets just introduce pregnant chits, electronic manipulation, and foreign oversight, etc….so much better than just sorting through the bits of paper and having a garbage can handy. Right? Sovereignty…do we care?

When bigger entities than the Bahamian people run everything, government, courts, police, business, Bahamians are voiceless and justice for them ceases to exist.

Penalties for BPL and the rise in emissions due to electric vehicle charging ROL ! Why not ban beans…which create gas and make us pass the smellier version LOL . World government initiatives are far from green.

I agree with the need to address social issues. However, the latest science can also shed some light on how we might also address the rising rates of mental illness, violence, and suicide. The approach is a physiological one gained by a deeper understanding of how we have affected our lives with these deep negative impacts. Inflammation leads to disease, physical and mental. Our modern world has introduced many inflammatory agents, the list grows. But one that has personally affected my life is MOLD! Growing research coming out of Hurricane Katrina’s effects and the the toll on those living in military housing is helping specialists like Dr Amen understand the neurobiological changes caused by the fungi that can overwhelm our health. Molds produce mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are neurotoxic agents that can lead to a variety of neurological impairments and effects, including the “mold rage” I have personally experienced, the domestic violence I am aware of, the psychosis a cousin experienced, and the suicidal thoughts and attempts of two distant family members. Mold loves The Bahamas and it’s humid climate. It loves the aftermath of a hurricane and all the rain damage. It loves our cheep building materials, namely sheet rock, and it loves our warmth! Not all people exposed get neurological symptoms, and those who do experience a wide range of signs; some causing misdiagnosis for decades. Mental health, especially suicide, are subjects we can rationally, and openly talk about now without the stigma once associated with them. There are treatments that avoid the use of psycho-chemicals that list suicide as a side effect! There are causes that are biological in many cases, and understanding our biological responses is bringing hope. Let’s shed the light on them and come out of the darkness of ignorance.
