I am disappointed that Mrs. Butler-Turner has decided to air party differences publicly. This does not inspire confidence in her party. Differences like this should be kept within the party.
"an accident waiting to happen" - It has already happened; I saw an accident on that intersection today. Then traffic became even more hazardous as the cars in the accident were blocking the intersection.
These attacks on Mr. Mitchell's assumed sexual orientation are disgraceful. Critique the way he is doing his job, not his personal life, which is no one's business.
When Brave Davis made light of the fact that he was a victim of crime, he was criticized. Now when Loretta Turner says how she feels as a victim, she is criticized. What do you all want?
While I do not support the actions of this government for many of the reasons that have been discussed since they came into power, I do think the clergy have too much say in politics. They have not been elected by the people so preach in church and don't try to run government. Alternatively, if they want to get involved in politics then they should run for a seat.
I'm with Fred Mitchell on this one. Homophobia and misogyny are rampant in this country. Equal rights for everyone shouldn't even be a question. No one should even contemplate denying rights to people because they don't like their gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or anything else.
My concerns exactly. However, it is the mentality here now that people in charge can do what others can't; so the President of The College can plagiarize but the students can't. The example has been set by our present government.
