Not only is Montagu beach dirty but the signs posted there with rules for the beach are completely ignored. The rules are there to provide an environment that all people can enjoy. However, our people don't seem to care about other people and a shared environment.
One of the problems now is that there is such a focus on the $100,000.00 that was paid; what about the balance Leslie Miller owes that is more than another $100,000.00? He acts as if the $100,000.00 cleared his debt; he needs to be held accountable for the balance.
I agree entirely that people need to wear seat belts and education is the key. I also agree that air bags are needed. However, while seat belts and air bags save lives, they do not prevent injuries in serious accidents. I personally know two people who suffered TBIs when they were wearing seat belts and had air bags. However, if they were not wearing seat belts, they would have been ejected through the windshield and killed. Do not assume that someone who was injured in a car accident was not wearing a seat belt; it may be that they are alive because they were wearing one. Preventing accidents would be even better. Drunk driving and speeding are factors here.
"Mr Mitchell pointed out that sexual behaviour associated with same sex relationships was decriminalized more than two decades ago." I'm confused. If it was decriminalized, why do we have people in court being charged with "unnatural sex" when they have had sex with someone of the same sex?
