The equal rights I have ' ought to be for every human being on the planet. It is impossible to have more rights than me. Certainly, no one should have any less rights than me either! Although ' governments' want more rights than us. A man is not superior to a woman ' or - a woman is not superior to a man; each has a complementary role. When a man wants to be a woman ' or a woman wants to be a man ' it does not change their rights - it changes the dynamics of man and women!

The Bahamas became independent without equal rights for women is ridicules. Yet, we continue to copy the culture of our neocolonialist. Much of the Western world is devolving into legal sodomy; and ' as a follower - the Bahamas is on track. The upcoming referendum on equal rights for women - is constitutionally embarrassing ' as modern constitutions go. However, I do not trust the government - to respect the result of the referendum! Too often ' and too long - We the people dwell in sheepism.

How do we expand popular participation: execute referendums on all issues and execute results.
How do we improve prospects for renewal in party politics: Impossible with the status quo. However, referendum from the people will work.
How do we make government more accountable and transparent: You cannot/will not. Let them execute the wishes of the people through referendums
How do we improve the quality of governance in our country: Guidelines of conduct voted on in referendums and executed by the courts from independent (if it is possible) non biased judges.
How do we get better representation: Referendums - There is no representation in lieu of the people. That is democracy.
How do we achieve bottom up constitutional reform: By referendum.
And what is the role of civil society: To participate in all national referendums' among other responsibilities as citizens.
Note: A national referendum to the constitution - that all national referendums' are binding!

Government ought to have outsourced BEC contract to the Germans ' they are the leader in alternative energy use in the whole world today. Germany produces more alternative power than any country. US companies too often prefer fossil fuel - it's what drives their thinking. Big oil has one concept: fossil. The Bahamas is well placed for alternative energy: sun, tidal and wind to start with. How do we get politicians to make right decisions that benefit the people - that is the real question! If any Bahamian government is smart enough ' it will - go to the IMF or World Bank (with a proper plan) and borrow enough money to make the entire Bahamas alternative energy useful!

The result of the gaming referendum of 2013 was discarded, still; Bahamians cannot gamble in our own casinos ' the people's opinion was overruled by this government ' the people's money was wasted! Who is to say the same will not happen again with this referendum? From 1973 our constitution is incomplete - because we need to establish equal rights for women..., what else do we need to do by referendum, to correct the incompetence of our leaders?! Why can't we have all these issues on a ballot during a national election? Answer: the party in power doesn't want to risk the issues causing them not to be elected. Any type of representative democracy - is just that - representative ' it's not democracy - how could it be when someone other than me represents my democracy? So, politicians do what they want: manipulate the people at will ' to suit their own agendas' and always we are: VDSheep! Either the politicians are morons, or the people are ' or perhaps we are all morons ' for sucking up to this representative democracy farce.

Why does the Bahamas have a foreign entity in control of its air space? The Bahamas is an independent country - no independent country has a foreign entity in control of its air space. It is totally ludicrous from any point of view. Does Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica, Venezuela, Mexico, USA or Canada have a foreign entity in control of their air space ' I don't think so? The Bahamas need to get away from its colonial mentality and be an independent nation. Any foreign entity controlling the Bahamas airspace is ridicules!

Ronnie: Talk to the unpatriotic uncultural politicians in the PLP and FNM ' while you are at it speak to the musicians union too. There is something terribly wrong with this country; and it seems not enough really cares enough! Just like the old guy Dupuch said many times before he left - "a people deserve the government they get!" We need another revolution - Bahamians are an endangered species. Put a frog in a pot of cold water - put the pot on the fire ' the frog will adjust to the heat until it dies. That is what we do.

Banks, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies are some of the root problem of legal exploitation of the masses (99%) an unnecessary evil the prevails in society ' coupled by their servants of lawyers and politicians that parrots their agenda. We the people know the problem ' we complain about it all our lives ' we grow old, or mostly not ' because of it; and die - the generation that follows - follows the same. There is something terribly wrong with this county! They know we are sheep ' and we are! The real question is: what do we do now? Ought we continue on as sheep? Or, do we change our profile from sheepism[sic]?

What did they really fight about. Then or now; nothing to do with democracy, liberty, justice or the rule of law to help the masses. It was then and now to help the ruling class. People go out to fight their stupid wars and those that come home are treated worse than being in war.
