He's banking on most who voted for him having forgotten that his first order of business as PM was to increase VAT by 60%, from 7.5% to 12%. That he kept the doors of BOB open by pumping millions of dollars more of the taxpayers money into its fraudulent bailout activities involving Bahamas Resolve. That he orchestrated criminal investigations costing many millions of dollars into the alleged corrupt activities of Frank Smith, Shane Gibson and others who have since been acquitted because of the incompetence of the AG he appointed, not to mention the unlawful interference of certain of his cabinet ministers in the investigations. That his concept of governing embodies and is limited to outright socialism - he sees himself as a modern day Robin Hood whose only mission as PM is to rob Peter in order to pay Paul while he and his corrupt cronies are robbing the country itself blind.

Yessiree, Minnis is confident the electorate has so much lingering distaste for the PLP and Brave Davis in particular that he is guaranteed to remain PM after the next general election, at which time he will immediately proceed to increase VAT by 25%, from 12% to 15%, and also make whopping increases to the required National Insurance Fund contributions of employers and employees. And rumours abound that in his next term Minnis will be seeking the passage of legislation that will permit the government to force the sale of higher-end commercial and residential properties in order to recover any real property tax arrears, including interest and penalties. Woe is me, shame and scandal in the family!

All Red China has to do to wipe out much of the Bahamian population is send us a few dozen of their citizens known to have been recently exposed by the highly infectious and deadly coronavirus for which there is no none treatment at this time. The victims literally drown from the pneumonia caused by the coronavirus which is completely resistent to all known anti-biotic and other treatment programs.

It is most disingenuine for Dr. Sands to suggest that measles and the regular flu are more deadly than the new lethal coronavirus simply because they have killed more people over centuries than the new coronavirus.

We have thousands of Red Chinese in the Bahamas at the moment and each week there are many Red Chinese travelling between Red China and the Bahamas. This is all truly frightening given our failed public healthcare system and the known gross incompetence of the corrupt Minnis-led FNM government when it comes to protecting the Bahamian people from just about everything, e.g. rampant violent crime. I take no comfort whatsoever from Sands's efforts to try and downplay the seriousness of this grave matter. We have been lucky so far with the Ebola out-break in Central Africa, TB from Haiti, etc., but luck has a tendency to run out, especially where sound government healthcare policies do not exist.

This shortsighted foolishness is being driven by prison over-crowding among other things. Bahamians need to brace themselves for a major increase in the level of violent crimes. Many of the convicts Tweedle-Dumb Minnis is proposing be released from prison are now 'hardened' criminals, having become so while in prison if not before their incarceration.

As for the records of these criminals being expunged, one can only begin to imagine the ratcheted up vetting process all Bahamians will have to go through to gain entry to the U.S. on a B1 or B2 visa.

Minnis can't think past his nose and is pandering to pot smoking voters who are even more manipulable than the dumbed-down illiterate voter with an F- quality of education from our dysfunctional public education system.
