Dream on! The U.S.A. would never entertain the idea of U.S. statehood for the Bahamas. Much more advantageous for the U.S.A. to give us the Cuba treatment and treat us like the satellite state of Haiti that we have in fact become. LMAO

Not to mention that power disruptions in the U.S. are usually very infrequent even when the weather is terrible. It typically takes a hurricane or major winter snow/ice storm to cause a serious power failure in the U.S. In the Bahamas, the mere sound of thunder and a quick flash of lightening accompanied by 30 mph wind gusts is commonly all it takes to trigger a prolonged power failure. LMAO

With driving conditions and parking as they are now on New Providence, I laugh heartily everytime I see someone I know driving a brand spanking new car that was likely purchased with a loan from the bank. Fools and their money are easily parted. Even many of us who can afford to pay cold cash for a new car prefer to buy a used one knowing that it will quickly be dinged and dented if not bashed in a major accident. LMAO
