It's excuse making idiots who are responsible for many in our country being content with the worst rather than striving for the best. The quality of education received by all students in our public and private schools prior to the 1990s was far superior in every respect compared to what it is today. And that's a simple enough fact that most Bahamians over the age of 50 would not argue with. As for Jeff Lloyd, he is without a doubt the absolute worst minister of education the Bahamas has ever had.

Hutchison Whampoa (HW) stuck it good to Minnis by making Bahamian taxpayers buy the Grand Lucayan Hotel for a ridiculously high price because HW's refusal to fix it up and re-open it in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. And now they are doing exactly the same thing with respect to Grand Bahama International Airport in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. Minnis must have dunce cap on his head as far as HW and the government of Red China are concerned. They can't believe their luck in getting our country's lead dolt to bail them out by increasing our already unsustainable national debt and the horrendous tax burden now on the backs of the vast majority of Bahamians.

For Pete's sake, the Minnis-led FNM government can't govern what's happening on the ground in our country, or in the waters of our country, yet Minister D'Aguilar somehow thinks it can govern our country's airspace. Get real, that just ain't gonna happen!

And what about the astronomical costs of the multitude of other investigations Minnis ordered be done concerning the conduct of the previous PLP government? Where are the final reports from these investigations and the transparent accounting of the monies spent on them?

@geostorm: I think the question you asked in the first sentence of your second paragraph would more appropriately read:

> "We have so many pressing issues to address in this country and this is the nonsense Lanisha Rolle wastes her time on?"

Education Minister Jeff Lloyd is now pondering whether all students with national examination grades of D or worse can have their dismal grades expunged from the records maintained by the Ministry of Education. Lloyd thinks he can successfully argue that the lives of these students should not be permanently scarred by their poor national examination grades.
