Why hasn't a special unit of immigration officials been formed by now to interview and verify those among the 830+ shelter residents who are **not** legal residents of the Bahamas? Illegal aliens identified should be sent to an appropriate detention centre for deportation at the earliest possible time. Why all the delay in properly dealing with this? What the hell is going on?!

Sadly many psychiatrists and psychologists are real head cases themselves and are only too willing to recommend costly and often addictive 'happy' pills of one kind or another on top of costly 'chat' sessions. Many of the more opportunistic 'professionals' are no doubt agitating for government (taxpayers) to provide generous funding for what they see as a long term windfall of patient cases created by Dorian. Let's hope we're not about to be besieged by a lot of heavily medicated but very 'happy go lucky' zombies.

The best therapy usually comes from close family members and/or friends who make the effort to research and understand how to go about providing the right kind of support to their depressed loved one. For obvious reasons, long term use of addictive happy pills should be avoided and the same goes for any psychiatrist or psychologist **who does not** make the effort to identify and counsel close family members and/or friends on how they can go about being most helpful in the patient's treatment program and recovery effort.

The success of the RBDF can only be measured by how well they protect our southern borders from the ongoing invasion of illegal Haitian aliens. That's even more important than stopping the Dominican and Cuban fishermen from all of the poaching that they're doing in our waters.

Who in their right mind would put a dollar in this disgraceful lawyer's pockets? I would rather put a dollar in QC Smith's pockets before putting one in Gomez's! And trust me, that's saying a whole hell-of-a-lot coming from me given how I feel about QC Smith!

Not as long as we keep electing corrupt government officials who want all of the goodies to end up in the hands of the select few among them.

There's everything wrong with unnecessary overly generous concessions, especially if they are being 'bought' and only a select few of the citizenry benefit from the purchase price. Besides, what we have can't be had anywhere else in the western hemisphere - the best beaches, most beautiful aquamarine waters and plenty of sunshine all on the door step of the most prosperous countries on our side of the world: Canada and the U.S. No my friend, you have it all wrong. The Bahamas is not for sale; it sells itself and all Bahamians should be handsomely benefitting from that simple fact and not just the select few muck-a-mucks at the negotiating table or granting the giveaways from behind the scenes.

We should be asking where was the HMBS Nassau in the immediate aftermath of Dorian? Docked at the Coral Harbour base? Did it after much delay eventually find its way to Central Abaco or Grand Bahama?

I was clearly much too distracted by his very baby looks in that very old photo. LMAO

@Haitian Distractor immediately above:

You forgot to mention Trump **loves** Haitians which is why you don't see the UN Human Rights Council or Rights Bahamas giving him a hard time. Your very deliberate effort to distract using long non-sensical posts designed to deter others from posting their comments on a very controversial article is much too easily seen through my friend. Suggest you try again and again and again and again and again and again and again.....waste as much of your time as you want because few if any of us even try to read shallow gibberish like yours.....most of us now skip right over your intended hogwash and post our comments to our heart's content. LMAO

> The Public Procurement Bill's section 42 also mandates that "every procuring entity allocate not less than 10 percent of its overall procurements to MSMEs in accordance with rules issued by" the Public Procurement Department - something that Mr Johnson said was in line with international best practices.

When we hear someone like Marlon Johnson talking about international best practices, we know government is blowing a lot of hot air up our arses.
