Newcomer @tribanon sounds more like me whereas @ISpeakFacts just tries to hard to sound like me. But they're both not me. They say imitation is the best form of flattery, but I'm not too flattered by @ISpeakFacts. Been at my Montana ranch for months now hiding out from the Red China Virus and making a mint from trading stock puts and calls. The Trib didn't renew my contract to keep the rest of you stimulated so consider me retired.

Enjoying the cool summer breeze on my ranch in Montana with comfort of knowing there's no Red China virus around me for miles and miles. The Tribune refused to renew my contract after 10+ years, but this new fella 'tribanon' sure sounds a lot like me.

Laughing at you from Montana.

Now that The Tribune has caved to legal pressure from those who wish to silence comments posted to this website that they find offensive or annoying, there's really no reason for me to continue posting my own comments. Like The Tribune's ad revenue, I shall now disappear. Consider this may last post. Ciao.

Well done indeed.

Nicholas Johnson is the kind of young man who will soar to even greater heights in the right environment in the right country. It boggles the mind to think of the many great contributions he will be making in his chosen field of operations research after obtaining his PhD from MIT and gaining invaluable work experience in North America. He will likely make North America his home and by doing so avoid having to contend with all of the nonsense most Bahamians now face on a daily basis as a result of decades of manipulation and corruptiion by our elitist political ruling class that have left us with D- quality elected officials..

Sadly most gambling addicts fail to realize the gaming web shops owned and operated by the numbers bosses are very much a 'rigged game'. At any time the sleasy likes of Bastian and Flowers are able to change the win-loss probabilities behind their electronic numbers games to lower the loss-payouts in order to achieve their very greedy profit goals at the expense of their fleeced patrons.

You never know who may be courting Sands right now. Even most of the PLP political elite have now resigned themselves to the fact that the PLP as a political party has gone and will go nowhere if it remains under the leadership of the likes of Davis.

This plantation master will never pay a fair day's pay for a fair day's work. And truth be told, the cashiers at his food stores these days should be receiving additional hazard pay for their great exposure risk to Covid-19.

Gambling is a most serious addiction that has destroyed the lives of so many individuals and their families. And unlike liquor, cigarettes, etc. which are very heavily taxed, the web shop owners/operators are very much under-taxed in relation to the harm they cause to our society.

The greedy likes of Sebas Bastian and Craig Flowers would love nothing better than to experience a windfall of profits from all of the government assistance that's now being given to so many by way of direct NIB payments or emergency orders to private sector businesses to defer the receipt of payments they are entitled to eventually receive. Many who are benefiting from all of this assistance are gambling addicts and regular patrons of the web shops.

These gambling addicts would rather play the numbers than buy food and medicine for themselves and their family members. Minnis should have long ago repealed all of the legislation that was wrongfully put in place to 'legalize' the webshops against the wishes of the Bahamian people expressed in a duly held national referendum.

The numbers bosses and their gaming web shops do not pay anywhere near the taxes they should be paying having regard to the harm and misery they cause our society as a whole. Liquor, cigarettes, cigars, etc. are very heavily taxed, and rightfully so.
