New Providence is just too densely populated for sustained isolation to be effective. Minnis likely committed us to having this Red China Virus run its course through our country by his inaction and silence 6 weeks or so ago. Sadly, the only thing that can be done now is hunker down and pray like the dickens.
Is this a joke? Most of us know full well how difficult it can be to get through by phone to anyone in government (including the police) using a government phone number.
We must be careful what we wish for now. Having failed two months ago to adopt stringent containment measures at our borders and all air and sea ports, the Minnis-led government's enforcement of a total isolation policy may be worse for our people and the country's economy than just letting the Red China Virus run its course.
