Why outsource to foreign private companies. That does little for long term economic growth. We need to develop companies right here to outsource to. Privatisation can only be fully realized as an aid to long term economic growth if the some or if not most of the outsourcing (or some balance) is given to local qualified Bahamian companies. The problem herein lies within our private sector. They have the capital and have they prepared themselves for the opportunities that privatisation will present. I am not speaking of the political cronies who only seeking high returns due to their financial status and political ties but real local private investors who want to help drive and expand the economy. The problem lies in the mentality that exists in the public sector exists in the private sector. Let government handle it. If the economic benefits of privatisation do not remain on our shores then selling our assets is a fruitless exercise that only results in switching monopolies from local to foreign ( example BTC). The private sector needs a gut check and re-evaluate itself. They need to think out of the box.

The law is the law. Customs and Immigration duty is to protect our Sovereignty. If they don't do their job without hindrance then we won't have a country to "pay bills" in. They have a right to enter any job site and check the status of foreign workers as it is in any other country. We selling our souls for a meal and then crying when our country going into a cesspool of corruption. They lucky Roker aint still around. You think the Chinese who funding this project in China would be concern on when and where they protect their Sovereignty. Wake up and smell the shrimp fried rice.

When you come in on lies deception becomes an art. This government has failed the Bahamian people. I feel used and insulted I could have spent that time voting putting in some numbers.

The PLP won the government through lies now it is apparent the Bahamian people were deceived. The web shop operators have been dealt a bad hand and now obvious they were not playing on a level field.this plp government is a failure. Mortgage relief-failure, crime reduction -failure (now they blaming the US for our crime rate). Road works correction-failure, Gambling issue-failure. The only things which are up and running are the policies and strategies that the FNM had put in place. The lacklustre leadership of Hon PGC is once again evident. His deputy and ministers and chairmen running the country. The inmates have taken over the asylum. His deputy must realize yeah your popularity in the PLP may be rising ( of course it would because that is one benefit of croniyism) but it is a reason why you are deputy. People don't forget and you are simple not as charismatic as our former leaders. Our country going to hell in a hand basket under this government, unless the people take a stand.

All Praise Due.

To add to it Customs and Immigration duty is to Protect Our Sovereignty they have certain powers which include the removal of illegals any time and anywhere. Whether it be the Haitian worker who mowing my grass (private property) or a sea lion trainer at Atlantis (private property). Furthermore if her application is in appeal just like Haitian and Jamaican migrant workers she should be deported until her appeal process is done. Furthermore Atlantis should be brought before the courts for aiding and abetting illegal workers. They law don't just apply in South Beach, last time I check Paradise Island was in the Bahamas therefore they too must abide by the Laws of Bahamas.

The chickens have come home to roost. When this government attack the Bahamian workers the public outcry is "yeah they lazy and making too much money". Now they attacking foreign workers it is an outcry. Bahamians are a bunch of bootlickers and crabs! Like HIM Selassie the First said when ending his speech to The League of Nations (precursor to the UN) at the unprovoked and dastardly attack of Italy against Ethiopia. "Today for us , Tomorrow for you." You support when they want put Bahamian workers out of a job well support it now.
