So John, you condone the actions of these officers, and feel the penalty given them was just? Just wondering. Drinking and driving is still illegal, and drinking and driving by police officers on duty, on patrol, and armed with deadly weapons, is dangerous. At least in my view. Did you report your incident in Fla. to the authorities, or because your antagonist did not have a breathalyzer test done on him, you only assumed he was drunk. My point is that law officers are supposed to carry themselves at a higher standard than that exhibited by these two, so as to earn the confidence and support of the public they are supposed to serve.
I agree bahamas12345. These people are charged with our protection, as well as the responsibility for capturing felons, all while being outfitted with firearms. A drunk policeman with a gun is as dangerous as any gun toting thug on the streets. They would be up on charges in most countries, and certainly fired from their jobs. (What about driven under the influence)? That alone should land them in court.
If these guys had their way the government would stop individuals from bringing in vehicles and force us to buy from the dealers. That would make BMDA and Freddie Albury very happy. Are we going back to "screw the small man" again?
So Hill is gone and Basden, the man who took BEC from making millions, to losing millions is back. Will he be paid on top of his pension/severance deal? The board can't be serious. The CFO bears responsibility for the financial operations at BPL/BEC, and should be held accountable for the fraud that transpired under her watch.
If things are really going so well for BPL, I wonder why it is rumored that Kevin Basden is returning as GM and Ms. Greene is returning next week. Is anyone going to be charged with the missing millions? Seems as if the company is moving back through a time warp, to a point of no return.
Visited Bahamar over the weekend and I doubt their story of 50% occupancy, period. You can count the number of tourists easily, and the large majority of people about were Bahamians, like me, looking around. I wonder how long before they start charging for valet, and prohibiting locals from using their pool facilities.

I may listen to what he says, when he repays the millions he owes BOB, and if he is re-elected.
