My question still stands, "well mudda". Who would you like to see run the country? Is any one or any party up to your stringent standards?

A person with a stance that the Christie lead government and it's cronies unjustly enriched themselves, and the newly elected FNM will do the same, if not worse. The question I ask is "who would wish for" to run the country. I think I know the answer. Reality Check should run it. We will definitely be straight then.

What makes a "Royal Commission of Enquiry" the be all, and end all, in some peoples minds. Being investigated and exposed by the Auditor General, and prosecuted should it be warranted, is just as, if not more than, effective. Our last Commission of Enquiry exposed all sorts of corruption, but Pindling and Co. kept right on going, with no consequence. Just as much will be exposed in this manner, with a greater chance of retribution. Our government is one half day old, the P/M has not been sworn in, nor the cabinet selected, and we are already getting royally "torched" by Minnis. Have a "reality check" and show some patriotism. The "torching" will happen to those who deserve it in a timely manner. The masses have voted in a new Government, democratically, and have faith in their promises and ability to perform better, and certainly more honestly, than the ball of corruption that just got rolled out. Perry and the boys ran rampant for five years, and Minnis should fix it on day one? He is protecting the PLP? Unreal. Minnis will surprise a lot of people, particularly those on the wrong side of the law, and embroiled in corruption. Go get em Doc.

If it is necessary to have a "Royal Commission" it will happen. Evidence garnered by the auditor general will guide the new government as to which courses of action to take. I, for one, hope that criminal prosecutions result, as my memory of the last Commission seems like it was a lot of "hot air", with Penn ridiculing the Commissioners and after it was all said and done, nothing happened to Pindling and the PLP. They need police presence in BOB, Ministry of Finance, NIB, etc. now, to ensure that cronies are not destroying necessary information. More than just the ministers were involved, in order to pull off some of these activities.

Well mudda, the people thought, thought, thought, and when it was all said and done, they rejected a known corrupt government, and replaced them with a new government and Prime Minister (who you have said on numerous occasions is equally corrupt and money hungry). I think not, and I wish the new government every success, and the help of Almighty God, as they will need it, to sort us out of the mess that we have been left in.

Excellent post, Mr. Hartnell. Unfortunately the present Government pays little heed to Central Bank reports or recommendations, unless they suit it's purpose. The Minister and Junior Minister of Finance will come up with all sorts of rational to justify the deficit. But wait a minute, there is hope. It's Election Day.

I agree, Another important question, is what has she actually done for Englerston? These are the people who will vote her back in, even though she has done nothing for the area. The only "new" business of note is the Paradise Games Headquarters, two doors down from her headquarters.

The real employees that ought to be dismissed, and investigated, are our two Ministers of Finance, Moreover, the entire Board of the Bank of Bahamas for the past fifteen years, and It's Senior Management Team, need to undergo extensive audit scrutiny, and, where applicable, files should be turned over to the courts for legal action. Wendy Craig did what she could about the Bank, but her hands were tied, and her recommendations regarding the Bank were ignored. It appears that "due diligence" for the Bank was: "this is my boy, fix him up". There never should have been further NIB funds injected, after the situation became public, and that is another necessary investigation. Isn't it amazing how quickly they got rid of Wayde Christie. No doubt he was questioning things that he should have cast a blind eye to.

I agree it is time to name and shame. And Prosecute those responsible for mis-handling the depositors and investors money. Also those responsible for injecting our NIB funds into this failing institution, and facilitating a massive cover up of fraud and cover up of the whole fiasco. Depositors, get out before it is too late (if not already).

Or we could end up with the corrupt PLP winning again being propped up by Nygard, Sebas, Flowers, Sir Snake, The Chinese, Big Bad Brad, etc. It has always been speculated that the Mosko's, being the savvy business people that they are, support both sides. So are the power hungry, mega rich supporters of either party, really any different. Mudda, still waiting to hear who you want to run the country. It seems like only the Almighty will meet your standards.
