Mr. Moss you are correct. The FNM had fifteen years to address the dump issue. However, the PLP has had thirty five years to address same. Who gets the most blame(as children say), is immaterial. The real question is, can we trust either the PLP or the FNM, when elected, to rectify the situation. We can be certain that one of them will continue to win the government for many years to come. Only time will tell. God help us all.
It is funny that they did not say the country needs to unite in their 2012 campaign. They highlighted the number of murders under the FNM government all over town in huge banners. They told us all they had the answer to crime and unemployment, and promised us solutions within 100 days of being elected. They failed miserably in all of their campaign platform promises and now with election looming again he has changed his tune. Now we must unite to solve this problem. Bull Sh-t. We need to unite and kick them out. Maybe a new government will not have all the solutions, but they can't be worse than the last five years of anarchy.
Bay Street Boys my behind. The oppressors of the people are the same who brag about fifty years of majority rule, and grin at the cameras everyday. Brave et al have benefited at the expense of the country and the "grass roots" they loudly proclaim to care about. They are all millionaires and will live in the lap of luxury whether they win or lose the election, while the people who put them in will be in deep sh-t.
The web shop employees are already running the country. Politicians, have, and always will be in their employ through donations, graft, and bribes. Favours are owed and will always be called upon. It will get worse, not better.
The PLP rabble-rouser calls for a peaceful election. A hypocritical statement from a man who takes every opportunity to incite the people with his persistent referrals to racism, UBP, and oppression at the hands of the Bay Street boys (He still does not realize that the majority of white or conchy-joe people in the country were not born wealthy and were despised by the same Bay Street boys}. If he spoke consistently of peace in politics, he would have more credibility, rather than spew nonsense at election time. Who are the oppressors of the people now? Tell us Mr. Roberts.
He has seen the writing on the wall and realizes that, no matter how useless they are, it is either PLP or FNM. He had no chance of being elected with his "new" party. This is sad because new, dynamic, positive thinking candidates will either join the "Big Two", or fade into political oblivion.
Withholding of passports is a primary factor in retaining control of an individual, and is a common action revealed in most human trafficking cases. Is anyone being charged?
If you like Dr. Rollins because he makes noise? That is fine. Does he make sense? Is he the next leader of our country? So he called out Perry, Obie, Minnis, and everyone else who his mind wanders onto on a particular day. He is irrational and if you listen to what he says none of the current political leaders should run the country. Maybe the country should run itself. One thing for certain, if he is the captain, the ship will sink, but if you like him, go for it.
