What a joke. I paid mine yesterday (I was one of three people on line), and found out that my bill was higher than last month, which was the highest for the year, as they had added the fuel surcharge increase (which according to them, does not make your bill higher). Can anyone figure out what the hell BPL means, and what they are doing? I guess I am getting a bit slow as I age, but I still remember how it feels to be shafted.

Negative findings by the Auditor General in many government departments have been ignored. So what is the value of Audit and Financial controls? The gravy train will roll for the boys in the know, and many necessary projects will remain incomplete.

Just as our contractors association has "bragged" as to how they have full employment due to Matthew, a lot of cronies will be laughing all the way to the bank, with the acquisition of these "Matthew" contracts. Can't wait to see the fair bidding process, and who gets what, and what actually gets completed.

Renew Bahamas,BPL. A lot of similarities in their problems with government. It won't take much more for the electrical crew to follow suit.

A family member of mine was diagnosed by a family physician as having Zeka. A ministry of health representative was supposed to come and collect a blood sample for testing, but this never happened. I would question the accuracy of the Ministers figures.

Don't forget, after Brave promised that BPL would reduce our electricity costs by 40%, they increased the fuel surcharge last month but told us that it was not a rate increase, so don't worry if your light bill goes up. This company is a farce and just today they bring in trucks and help from the US when they had the capabilities to do this since right after the storm. We continue to beat the same drum with our electrical woes in the country and all Governments talk BS about a resolution to this problem. So, buy a generator, invest in solar, or get ready for more of the same.

Maybe Basil and the boys need to start watching channel 411 or maybe 207 or 209 or 210.
They all seemed to know that we would be getting a lot of rain and they are either in Fla. or Atl. The girls are right on the ball with what is going on in our country, and we report an 8:00 advisory as a 9:00 advisory and talk about how brilliant NEMA is. BS.

What a farce.. I can only imagine the rush on NEMA's understaffed and unprofessional offices for approval to import items under this exigency order. Good luck. The "boys" will be bringing in whatever they choose without the tangled mess of dealing with NEMA, and truly deserving applicants will be waiting in vain.

One hundred and fifty BPL workers are on the restoration project while the rest of the thousands are doing what? Waiting for us to come in and pay our bills?

I won't rely on the "experts and planners" in NEMA to direct me to the food store. All talk, showmanship after the storm, and no action. How could relief goods from Cayman be rejected by Customs and almost sent back. You would think that NEMA would have placed Customs on notice of how to handle disaster donations. How ignorant is Customs and the Officers who almost sent these items back? Does anyone out their have a clue?
