Not to mention the fact that the Bohengy which is pictured above, has cancelled all service to Eleuthera for two weeks. This is having a devastating effect on the economies of Spanish Wells and Harbour Island as this boat brings visitors to these islands daily, and it is a main provider of transportation services to Eleuthera for Bahamians as well. How easy it was for Mr. Symonette to turn his back on the people of Eleuthera, who have supported the Bahamas Ferries operation since inception, to reap some more millions to add to his already substantial net worth. Shame on you, a descendant of The Current, for treating Eleutherans in such a manner.
Finally, some one in authority has witnessed first hand, the inefficiencies of our Emergency response from the 911/919 system. Perhaps now that a senator has spoken out in the press about his personal experience and disappointment with it, something may be done. Not holding my breath though.
Just wondering what either the Minister or Mr. Cargill know about the aviation industry. Neither of their past business experience includes exposure in this area, and yet they are in charge of Aviation. The future looks bleak.
"Obviously for us the first step is to make an assessment of the units and determine whether they can be adequately repaired and brought back into service". These units were damage by fire months ago and BPL has not even assessed their damage status yet? What a bunch of incompetent jokers. The consumer pays through the nose for inconsistent, fluctuating power that damages appliances, which continues to become more expensive, and this is the best B---s--t that they can come up with. Time for a solution and less talk Mr. Minister and Mr. Prime Minister. Your people are suffering.
It is common street knowledge that if you want anything done in Immigration it requires: A. A friend or acquaintance with pull. B. Knowing the right channels through which to pay tips. The thing is, most government departments do not consider tipping as being bribery, but rather an entitlement to them as a part of their jobs. An honest (don't know how that can be achieved) audit of immigration files would reveal exactly what went on in the forms of work permits, spousal permits (divorced spouses are still working in some cases), residency and citizenship approvals. Will this ever happen? Doubtful. Foreigners are occupying in positions which can be filled by qualified, unemployed Bahamians, as a result of unscrupulous administrators of the Immigration Laws.
Enough already. Everyone is tired of hearing about what Christie's govt. did. You promised to fix it and make things better for the average Bahamian and country as a whole. Print the list of what you have done to increase disposable income, and your plans to correct our financial woes, that does not include increasing taxes on the people. Will be looking.
What a bunch of B/S. How long does it take to repair or replace a non functioning air conditioning system at an institution as important as the Hospital. Management apologizing for any inconvenience caused is laughable. We are talking about peoples health and well being here, and brushing it off as if you were at a movie theatre and the projector broke. A sorry state of affairs for a brand new building. This speaks volumes to the competency of ministry and PHA officials, from the minister on down.

So. The government knows who the dodgers and culprits are, but takes no legal action??? How convenient. One has to wonder why.
