There is an company from Israel that has been working on that for a couple years. Read somewhere they where making progress. It all boils down the maintenance, nobody in the public service does it, just look at the state of our government buildings.
One must applaud Mr. Smith for his efforts to keep the government of The Bahamas in check. He is a champion for many causes and I would dare say he is more effective than the opposition.
One would think these old crusty set would be strait and ready to retire but for some reason many just keep haunting the Bahamian people. Maybe they spent their money like they are spending ours?
How does Mr. Wilson expect a hotel union fluncky to understand the big picture? This is a person that only cares about her and hers (the union). They have been taught well by our political system. This selfish behavior is what is so wrong with the Bahamas. It is just like the person that litters, it hurts the entire nation. Not educating our children, it hurts the entire nation. Corruption, it hurts the entire nation. understand?
I applaud the government for paying off a debt the Bahamian people where on the hook for. One wonders what the total interest we had to pay for CWC holding that debt? One less noose around our neck.
Birdie, maybe since you are so tight with our esteemed P.M. you could give him the advice your mother gave you. We need someone to talk "cents" to our minister of finance as we can not handle any more DEBT. How much has the plp borrowed in the last three years. How much is the deficit each of those years. What do we have to show for this massive spending? A party and a school in the bush that is for maybe 50 students? Please tell your PM we can not afford his lifestyle, it is much to rich for the poor Bahamian people!
What the P.M. is really saying is "I so glad this open, something positive at last (even if it is die hard FNM's and conchy joes who did it), because now the treasury gone get more money for me to squander."
Thats what you get from 43 years of the PLP and FNM. Corruption is riff in this country and it has been taught with gusto by our leadership. The youth of today know for a fact the only way to get ahead is to be a corrupt person that can be bought for a few dirty dollars. This is the one thing our leaders have done well in 43 years. They must be proud of this accomplishment!

Not good for anybody. The last thing this country needs is Bah Mar not coming through. This project has been watched by many, not good at all.

Just one more example of the level of corruption in this country. History will not be kind to these maladjusted, immoral, and unethical politicians.
