2002-2007 Fool me once bad on you 2012-2017 Fool me twice bad on me 2017-2022 Bahamians better think hard about what sort of country they want their children to have when they grow up. Is the petty politics, secrecy, corrupt practices, Crony backscratching, and political elite upholding really working for the country. Is what we have now sustainable or is it steering the country towards revolt, civil unrest, and revolution (god forbid)? Bahamians need to think hard and be real with themselves, the future of this country is in the Bahamian peoples hands!
So once they tell us how they are going to waste/mismanage/steal our money they will slap us upside the head with a new tax for health services that no one will receive except illegal immigrants and their children. Go to the PMH and tell me I lie! Bahamians getting swing again.
Birdie is exactly what is wrong with the Bahamas. To be so engrossed with ones party that you can not see the obvious rot in the country. Well just as SLOP said "we knew the people where unhappy but we did not realize how unhappy they where. 2017 the people will speak!
I wonder how those million dollar lime tree's are doing? Is the juice sweet? A lime tree in Nassau costs about $50.00, so if you do the math for a million dollars Bamsi could have 20 thousand tree's, remind me how many are there now?????? Maybe a better question is where did our money go??
If anyone says that Carnival is a legacy for PGvC, all I will say is what the tourist said to me today, "The Bahamas does not need another party, the Bahamas needs to educate it's people, the last thing the Bahamas needs is another party", and that about sums it up!
Bamsi is a good idea, right thinking Bahamians have no problem with the concept. What we do have a problem with is how it has been managed and implemented. The contracts where given as political favors to a shady contractor. The contracts never went out to bid. The cost is extremely overboard. In short BAMSI has been a croney's paradise. The devil is in the details dear bird, and the details tell a story of corruption! So next, please!
Birdie, your thoughts are bankrupt, give it a rest, everyone knows you are afflicted with the disease known as "my tribe or nothing". Most right thinking people have progressed past such outdated and mundane thinking. True Bahamians are worried about the country, not a political party.
