Yes Birdie, so many Bahamians do throw their money to the wind, just like our government. Wouldn't it be nice if our government learned how to tighten it's belt just as the citizens are learning. Jobs are disappearing weekly, money is extremely tight and government just keeps spending, does that make any sense? Debt is at 70% of our GDP, soon they will devalue our dollar and then the fun starts.

The sad truth is that the majority of Bahamians are disgusting and have no appreciation of their surroundings. Go to any public beach after a long weekend and you will see nothing but garbage. Look along any back road in the country and you will encounter some sort of household or construction refuse. The litter laws need to be enforced (as do most other laws in this country) and given teeth. A thousand dollars or 30 days of community service picking up garbage might just make people think twice before trashing our #1 asset, our environment. Maybe then nasty nassau might get a different nickname.

The law in The Bahamas is only for certain people. If you have the right friends or are part of certain organizations the law does not apply to you. That's how we roll in this corrupt little nation! Ask the fellow on Blackbeards Cay and Mr. Nygard what the law of the land means to them, nothing, absolutely nothing as they just do as they please, to hell with the law, RIGHT!

The fact is there are no jobs out there. The middle class is dieing. This country needs a shot in the arm, the way it is going now is not sustainable.

Birdie, you really need to be honest with yourself at least, or are you that far gone that you can not be honest with yourself? Everything is the PLP? Really? I just really do not have the words, WOW! I am astounded at the level of delusion.

THis is proof that the law only applies to certain people. If a Bahamian was to thumb their nose at the law in this fashion there would be hell to pay. This also shows how corrupt our government is, they only enforce laws they want to. There is no rule of law in this demented country.

asiseeit says...

This is very bad. Our grandchildren will be the ones paying for this governments largess, all to give those THEY deem worthy of our money, friends, familys and crony's. How they spend money that is NOT theirs is disgusting!

asiseeit says...

Let one little Bahamian play these games and see what happens to them. These foreign set come with a little grease and they could spit in we eye and laugh. Look at the greasy fashion man in Lyford and now this pirate. And our government wonders why this country is so lawless. They better take a good hard look in the mirror.

What really pisses me off is the fact that the politicians only start to get worried when crime is affecting the tourist industry, what about how it affects bahamians and how they go about their business? Do they understand how many Bahamians have changed their habits due to crime. How much the local economy is affected because of crime. How many Bahamians are out of work TODAY because of crime? Do they realize that many, many Bahamians refuse to go out at night because of crime? Commerce has been adversely affected by crime in so many ways. Who would buy a gold chain that you can not wear in Nassau, who frequents bars or restaurants after dark to get mugged on your way out, who is not looking over their shoulder when entering or exiting Super Value or the mall, who wants anything nice that can make you a target? This has smothered the local economy. Here is one the greedy politicians may listen to, TAXES have been hindered because of crime. You greedy politicians are getting less money in the slush fund due to crime, ever think of that?
