The sad fact is a very small minority of Bahamians think that they can do whatever they please, to hell with the majority. These political elite, a minority, have no regard for the people. The people are only to pay taxes and keep this minority in power every five years when lo and behold they come begging for your vote. Seems to me that nothing has changed in the last 50 years. Those in power, the minority, still have very little regard for the people, the majority.
That white boy is in jail in the U.S., he is there for a very long time. The Bahamas does not have to spend one cent on his incarceration. So what is the problem?
The remarks by the PM showcase exactly what is so wrong with The Bahamas today. These clowns think that the majority of Bahamians are only here to pay taxes to support THEIR cronys. A very small portion of the Bahamas is living large off the backs of the majority. I wonder where I have heard that before? Maybe it is time for another majority rule to take these kleptocrats out? One thing is for sure, the way it is going is not sustainable.
The two biggest evils in The Bahamas are the government and the church. Both are infested with criminals and con men that prey on the ignorant and downtrodden.
What you speak of was all done under SLOP, what has Mr Christie achieved except scandal? Birie you may be so small as to think anyone in opposition to the PLP's mismanagement want our country to fail but the reality is very different. If the people ruling this country right now where not so hoggish and greedy they stand a chance to do good. The problem is they are more worried about getting the boys strait than fair and balanced governance. So my dear, before you start calling those that question traitors take a good hard look at your PLP and figure out who the real traitors are!
The "boy's" dem dead happy. God gave the Bahamas to the PLP, and the PLP will do all in it's power to destroy what they think god gave them. That's how smart they are, government don't do stupid!
Tal, why can Bahamians not understand that there are people that do not think EITHER political party is good for the nation. There are Bahamians that just want fair and balanced governance for the sake of the Nation. There are people that are fed up with corruption, croneyism, and the general decline of The Bahamas. Right now I will vote for anyone NOT aligned with the two corrupt political party's that have destroyed our nation over the last 40 odd years. That any Bahamian excuses ANY corrupt behavior by a politician is astounding. I mean to what end? I just can not fathom the thinking. At this point I see no future that is tenable under either the PLP or FNM.
See Birdie, you seem to think that if someone is critical of you beloved P.M. they are pap's children. You may be surprised to learn there are many people in this country that are not shackled to a political party's bosom. There are actually people who just want fair and balanced government. Government that works for ALL Bahamians. Government that is moral, ethical, and honest. See Birdie, there are some who want what is best for the Bahamas as a whole because they want their children to have a future in the Bahamas. I know you can not fathom this sort of thinking but there are those that actually put the nation before a political party. Strange hey?
That this country has been misruled by a very small bunch of kleptocrats is a given. These politicaly exposed persons and the political elite have been living high on the hog off of everyday Bahamians since independence. Because these people only care about themselves the country has suffered. Our infastructure is in a shambles, just look at BEC. Our environment is being destroyed, garbage everywhere, poaching, landfill fire. Our people destroyed, crime, under education, unemployment. People are so politically stuck that when presented with clear neglect, mismanagement, and corrupt practices, they actually defend the politicians. Are Bahamians as a people, either that corrupted themselves or are they so enslaved by crookedness that they will accept defend acts that should never be tolerated? I actually thought that Bahamians where smarter than this. Just by the above poll and the willingness of a good portion of people to actually think what has been exposed is in any way OK is direct proof that there is no future in this country. I am determined that I will be the last of my family to be abused by the government of The Bahamas.
