NHI is putting the horse before the cart. If you can't drive a car, what makes you think you will be able to control a truck? Government can't even get the PMH up to snuff, there are major questions pertaining to the funds belonging to PMH, and with this report it seems PMH is someplace you go to die. Yup thats a system I will have faith in.

The future of this country looks very dismal. I am trying to inform the young members of my family about ways to get out. The sad part of the whole situation is they love home and would rather stay. They understand that there is no future here for them so they listen very closely. The running joke is they will set up camp and when the country does explode they will save me. How sad can you get.

asiseeit says...

That makes more sense than anything else. It is so sad that the Bahamian people most certainly believe our politicians to be crooked and corrupt. If I was a politician I would do all in my power to show I was not corrupt. Meanwhile the ones we have just go with the flow, I guess if the hat fits one should wear it with pride.

V. Alfred Gray is about as slippery as they come. The man just said that he has nothing to do with the construction of BAMSI and threw the DPM under the bus. Who is the minister of agriculture? Does BAMSI not fall under the ministry of agriculture? Once again these suckers are more worried about getting elected than looking out for the interests of the Bahamian people. See how fast he has pointed his finger at someone else, what scum. Look at me Gray should be sacked forthwith, he is a politician who looks out for himself not the Bahamian people.

Watcher, that is exactly the problem. The rabid supporters of our inept government Do believe that everything is wonderful and on track. Look at Birdie she would believe the P.M. could walk on water if he said he could. Thankfully it seems that most of the most devote PLP's are old and stuck in the 60's, the young are informing themselves and are not so fast to be hoodwinked.

These people better stop their threats. The private sector is doing their job because they are abject failures at collecting taxes. VAT will be the tax that is most adhered to simply because the private sector collects it, not our corrupt civil service.

One day the misdeeds of our political elite will catch up with them. The government wants to create a National Health scheme yet they can not even finish a wing of the PMH without major questions being asked. Just the fact that it is three years late says volumes about these bloodsuckers. Why Bahamians that get into politics believe it is their god given right to hoodwink the Bahamian people is beyond me. Is there not ONE honest, upstanding, decent character in the lot? They say they are god fearing men, I wonder what their god has in store for them?

No right thinking Bahamian wants BAMSI or for that matter Junkanoo Crnival to fail. OUR money is being spent on these projects and I for one want a return on that investment. The problem people have is the manner these projects are being handled. There is no accountability, oversight, or proper management of these projects. Our money just does not seem to matter to the ministers in charge of these projects. 100 million and 9.5 million dollars are vast amounts to a country that is BROKE. Bahamians have cut back because they are broke, yet we see a broke government spend like there is no tomorrow. Birdie, the simple fact is government has a track record of wasting, mismanaging, and yes, stealing the peoples money, we are just getting very fed up with the status quo, or in lay mans terms, getting ripped off constantly. The country is pretty much at a tipping point, we shall see if the powers that be understand that.

So our elected officials can not inspect what government is spending OUR money on? This country really is just getting worse and worse.
