Empower the people? That just can not happen, right Mr. P.M. The spoils go to the political elite and to hell with the Bahamian people. At least Mr. Ingraham gave the people a chance, how many government employee's where able to buy shares in the port? Mr. Christie and his band of Kleptocrats will not even give the Bahamian people a CHANCE to invest in their country and , god forbid, maybe make some money. all for me baby, is alive and well in the Bahamas. Cookie jar teifin' jibe turkeys!

Why not as with the case with Commonwealth Brewery allow Bahamian investors a chance to buy the 51% of the shares. If they do not sell then government can take what is left over. This would make sure that Bahamians who want to invest have the chance to do so. NOBODY trusts ANY government of The Bahamas, they are crooked. What this looks like at first glance is just another cookie jar for political elites to plunder. Also If government does finally sell off their shares they will already be diluted. Why the HELL will the plp not let people invest????? What is it they have against bahamians investing. all for me once again< right! This just stinks to high heaven. Look at the port, that was oversubscribed, do they understand what that means, people wanted more shares than where offered. Look at the money people have made from that share offering.

I would not vote, the government will do as it pleases no matter the outcome. This is a fact, look at the Numbers vote. The democratic process has been destroyed by Perry them to satisfy their special interests and pay back their investors ( election bank rollers). This has been proven by the legislation they have brought forward and passed. Also by the court orders they have refused to enforce. How a government can hold it's head up and not obey a legal court order is beyond corrupt. There is no democracy in the Bahamas, the only law is the law of money, who can pay to play. That is why The Bahamas is no longer a democracy, we are now a kleptocracy, one vote means nothing, but a bank account or a dollar means everything. Jail time is warranted but that will not happen, YET!

Come on now, we know not to trust the company's involved, look what the french company cost the nation because it wanted the contract. These company's would sell their young to get the license, you think we don't know that. When big money is involved with government in The Bahamas there is almost a certainty of corruption. This goes for ANY government of The Bahamas. Sadly, the supposed leaders of this country have no ethic's, morals, or an honest bone in their body. As a Bahamian I would not trust the government nor the bidders with a monopoly dollar, greed is their main character trait.

This only enforces the perception that they are all the same and all belong to one club. What does the woman mean that we should disregard her prior statements, she can't be so stupid. She needs to resign before she even reaches. I most certainly would never vote for such a hack.

If the investor was smart they would offer the Bahamian people the 51% from the start and keep the kleptocrat's as far away as possible. If government is involved there will be underhanded dealings and corruption, they are just crooked, no two ways about it!

Yes Mr. Roberts, we are a nation of laws, who those laws apply to and if those laws are enforced, is a whole different story. How many M.P.'s are in breach of the public disclosure law is not known but it is safe to bet that there are quite a few that should be fined or actually charged with an offence, but that will never happen will it! All of these hypocrites, red and yellow need a swift kick in the head with great force!
