If anyone has proof of wrongdoing they have a moral and ethical obligation to the nation expose the wrongdoing. Let the chips fall where they may. Lets see who really has the best interest of the nation at heart. We all know that in the end nobody will say peep. To many skeletons in everyone's closets!
The politicians, both FNM and PLP are directly to blame for the downward spiral of The Bahamas. Corruption is KING in this country because the politicians are corrupt. Each and every one of them are involved in the corruption as they ALL know what is going on but do not have the morals, ethics, or guts to call the offenders out or "blow the whistle". The Bahamian people are a bunch of sheep being led to slaughter as they also know what is happening but barley whisper a bleat in protest. One thing is for certain, how it is now is not sustainable.
I wonder how much these foreign consultants cost and how much the kickback is. He says that they have invested heavily in this firm, the question is who is getting paid in the Bahamas by this firm? Nothing to see here business as usual. We know how it goes. We hire you, you hire us, right! This is why the politicians almost puke when Freedom of Information is brought up. Crooked shysters!
They should have made Ocean Cay a LNG terminal when they had the chance years ago. Why is it The Government of the Bahamas always seems to be twenty years behind the rest of the world. B.E.C. should have been LNG powered long ago as well. The Bahamas just does not have the education system in place for people to be forward thinkers, critical thinkers, or even think outside the box. I guess that is a stretch when basic math and english skills are a rare commodity.
I love how the contract was awarded for 1.8 million but then cost 2.4 million. This is exactly why the government is BROKE and the people of The Bahamas are having to pay VAT. I wonder if Mr. Davis would balk if he hired a contractor to build him a house for 1.8 and then had to pay him 2.4 at the end of the day? If these where his private monies you think he would be happy and satisfied he did not get ripped off?
So they are going to tax us on the fuel surcharge. Double dipping at it's finest. Taxation without representation. The best part of the whole thing is they are NOT going to pay off our debt, they are just going to spend, spend, spend. Your kids and grand kids face a dismal future!
