Agreed, how would the political elite get elected if the people where educated? The short answer is that they would not get elected. The other major organization that does not want an educated population is the church. You think educated people would listen to and give to 75% of the churches out there if they where educated? Not a chance!
Mr. Moss, We all know this will be swept under the rug and The Bahamian people will never get justice. It's better in the Bahamas, if you are a crony or politician.
This will be swept under the rug like so many other things. The amount of dirt under the rug in this country is out of control. One day it will see the light, one day, it always does. I predict that history will not be kind to the supposed leaders of this broken country for the last 50 years. The truth will come out!
Seems as if they are still squabbling over who gets what. That is the only reason this process has taken so long. Politicians and their crony's have destroyed this country over the last 40 years and they are not done yet. Why do you think we know nothing about the state secret landfill deal, they have their grubby fingers all over it. the same will happen with BEC and The people of The Bahamas (all of them) will once again get the shaft. If there is a hell, I honestly believe there must be special section just for Bahamian politicians.
This is a political pipe dream. They are desperate and grasping at straws. One thing for sure, you will not see and ladies from my family prancing downtown in a swimsuit trying to get raped. The Bahamian male is NOT mature enough to handle the spectacle.
With the high level of maturity and self control Bahamian males display there should be no problem. Sexual harassment is not an issue in the Bahamas. Our well educated and well mannered males can handle seeing these provocative costumes without loosing their minds. Sarcastic smirk upon my face.
The government better get this right. This is one thing that may give Mr. Christie a legacy that he can be proud of if done above board and IF the best interest of the NATION come FIRST. The People of The Bahamas, each and every one of them, have been oppressed by past corruption and dirty dealings at BEC, maybe this time the Nation will win. One can still have dreams, right!
According to the video, he got the Bahamas back in the last election. He therefore can do as he pleases. Must be nice to be above the law. After all isn't the law just for the peasants?
It does not take to much brains to see that giving a person a job that they are not qualified for is not in the best interest of the country. That is just common sense. Would you hire someone to build your house that you knew did not have the skills to build said house just because they where your boy? I doubt it, i most certainly think you are smarter than that!
