One must remember government is run by lawyers who have no clue about business. One also wonders if they understand education and the importance of it for the Nation, not just themselves?
The contempt this man is showing for the Bahamian people is disgusting. He works for US. We deserve an explanation. This country has a bunch of M.P.'s running around playing dictator. We are most certainly not headed in the right direction as a nation! Incompetence, corruption, neglect, waste, and arrogance are the hallmarks of our government. It's better in the Bahamas if you are a politician, everyone else is getting screwed
The main organization that needs a watchdog and policing for ripping off the Bahamian people is none other than our corrupt government! i wonder how it must feel when 90% of the people perceive the organization you run/are part of as a thief and corrupt?
This is what is online about the jet ski operators and the level of service one can expect in the Bahamas. Would you come here after reading? http://www.consumeraffairs.com/travel/a…
I would love to hear her view on corruption and if she believes it can be stamped out in the Bahamas. I wonder if she would support a Freedom of information bill? Education is the only way we can make certain our youth stand a chance in the future so it is good she is wanting to do more in that regard. I would like to hear more from Mrs. Butler-Turner, maybe it is time to have a woman lead the government. Women are the backbone of this country, why not?
I wonder how we can get our young men to "pause and think"? Education is a key but there is so much more that is needed to give the youth some sort of hope. It is certain that what we offer our youth at this time is not enough.
Birdie, are you still playing that tit for tat child's game. Two wrongs do not make a right. It is time for Bahamians as a whole to mature and stop playing party politics. The situation we find ourselves in is the result of the majority of our politicians being incompetent and using their positions to further them and theirs well being to the detriment of the Nation. The PLP and the FNM are exactly the same, once you realize this the country may stand a chance. Sadly I suspect you are a party member before a Bahamian. #wakeupbahamas
Horror story's abound online about the thugs and sexual perverts that work in the jet ski racket. The harm they are doing to the nation is immeasurable. Anyone with two eye's has seen these juvenile delinquents harass tourists, ride like idiots, smoke weed, sell drugs, and in general be a menace on the water. These is no law upon the water as the defense force does not know the laws or refuses to enforce them. There need to be officers on jet ski's to get right up in their space. Good luck with that!
