They think they slick. Someone hired her law firm, probably BOB, which would make her statement true. It's all in the wording, these lawyers are disgusting like that. You reporters need to step up your game.
I wonder if this was their private funds, if they would still think this was a good deal? Only a complete idiot would spend their hard earned money in such a manner. Thing is, government does not work for the money, they just steal it from the citizens, so they do not give one hoot if it is squandered and wasted. Birdie, this is your grand children's money that is being thrown away, but I doubt you can understand that or even care. What a sad situation this country has become, I hang my head in shame.
URCA is trying to make the granting of the next cell license look fair. The virgin groups plan is to piggyback on BTC's assets, Cable wants to build their own network. If URCA says that you have to share systems, that plays well into the Virgin groups plans. Mark my words, the government wants the Virgin Group as they are petty and do not want anything the FNM brought to fruition to succeed. Remember what they said they would do to Sol Kerzner when Atlantis first came to the Bahamas? Believe in Bahamians my left foot!
I would not offer a shareholder of BOB .50 cents per share. Another glaring example of politicians and their policy's hurting the citizens of The Bahamas. The politicians in this country are toxic and are killing the very thing that sustains them, The Bahamas.
Sadly A2Z is correct, we are going to have to hit a wall before the corrupt politicians accept reform/change. Hopefully it will not include violence but the way it is going it seems more and more likely that this country is headed for major upheaval. One thing that is certain, the way the politicians govern and conduct business is totally unsustainable.
That is because the private sector has done all of the heavy lifting when it came to VAT. The only reason we have VAT is because government was and is an abject failure at collecting taxes, hell the Government of The Bahamas is a failure, PERIOD!
The better question is why the Bahamian people put up with the crap this government is doing? Where are the protests? The Bahamian people will pay for this corrupt government for decades to come, enjoy!
