Simple, cable is a private company and BTC is majority owned by government (wink, wink). URCA is a government watchdog that takes it's marching orders from a corrupt government and that BTC money is very important to government.
Is there any organization in The Bahamas that is above board? Are there any honest people in the Bahamas? On the surface of it the answer would be a resounding 'NO". What a shabby state of affairs. What a cesspool The Bahamas has become. Forward, Upward, Onward, Together, utter bullshit!
Nobody in their right mind has a positive outlook on this country for the foreseeable future. Our dancing P.M. may believe it will be "dead good soon" but those with boots on the ground just hope they are not dead soon. This country is going backwards at an alarming rate, hold on tight.
Tal. many Bahamians have domestic help and do not have any children in the house, whats your point? If Immigration was serious there would be no domestic helpers from half way around the world. Go out to Lyford, Albany, or Old Fort and they are working out there like flea's on a potcake. They bring their family's in and take Bahamian jobs. They live on premises, so who knows exactly what they do. They are handymen, gardners, boat cleaners, drivers, and anything else their boss needs, meanwhile Bahamians who can do these jobs are sitting on the bricks.Immigration really needs to look at what is going on in the west and get serious, Bahamians need jobs and these are jobs Bahamians can do!
Was it not the PLP that said "the crime problem is because of poor governance"? These politicians sure are at the root of our crime problem and poor governance is endemic in the Bahamas. Both political party's should hang their heads in shame. Maybe if our politicians obeyed the laws they institute, the citizens would be more inclined to do the same.
I saw a young boy, 10-11 or so throw his foam container in the bush. When I asked him to pick it up and throw it in a garbage as the bush is not the dump, I was told to "F" off and shut my mouth before him and he boys "F" me up. This country has more problems than I care to count. Nasty Nassau is correct.
The Bahamian people have no idea where the VAT money is going. We where lied to once again by government and told they needed to implement VAT to pay down our debt yet we have no proof this is happening.

Many Bahamians would be interested in how many of these politicians have foreign domestic helpers. Maybe someone can disclose that information?
