Whatever the charges are they are HIGH considering the uneven level of service. I can rarely get the bandwidth I pay for

I have recieved more emails about this article than all the issues with crime and US Sanctions combimned. From a Bahmaian publicity point of view immediate action is essential.

OK i have to start by saying that by previously ignoring tons of extremely aggressive driving the police have set the tone that they are not interested in enforcing the law. This leads to people assuming other laws will not be enforced.
It is easier to enforce the larger crimes when all crimes are enforced.
I'm hopeful that any enforcement of traffic laws will decrease my aniexty with extreme high speed driving and ridiculous passing on 2 lane roads.

OK this is another great example why the Bahamian Government should shut down Bahamas Air. The amount of $ spent on this entity could be used in so many different ways in the Bahamas. I understand the purpose of the airline is to provide service to areas that may not be served for economic reasons. Subsidizing private carriers to accomadate underserved areas would be much more effective use of capital and it is apperaant the the service could not be any worse

Bahamasair (UP, Nassau International) is due to receive another BSD32 million Bahamian dollars (USD32 million) in state subsidies in the 2022/2023 fiscal year, with a further BSD40 million (USD40 million) budgeted for the next two years, according to the government's 2022/2023 draft estimate of revenue and expenditure.

According to preliminary forecasts, the state carrier will receive BSD21 million in 2023/24 and BSD19 million in 2024/25.

This comes on top of the government's actual expenditure on Bahamasair of BSD78.2 million in 2020/21 plus a revised approved estimate of BSD30 million, totalling BSD108.2 million. Expenditure between July 2021 and March 2022 was just under BSD21 million.

By December 31, 2021, the company had arrears, unpaid invoices, and an un-budgeted expenditure of BSD24.2 million.

Can anyone tell me why the Bahamian government continues to subsidize this enterprise? Millions of tax payer $ that could be used doing better things This is a disgrace. Let the private market fulfill these needs. Then privatize BPL, Water and Sewage

Guys this is an editorial about the mess that is the doorstep to Nassau called Bay Street. It is filthy and while the government spends millions on to generate tourism very little is done to make it appealing once they get here. Buy a few power washers for the property owners on Bay Street to use because the government workers aren't getting the work done.

I am a neighbor of Goldwynn. They have been an incredible new addition to the Goodman's Bay area. They have built an incredible property and daily clean the beach not just in front of there property but also the entire public beach. Thet are cleaning both trash and dead sea grass and the Bay has not looked this great in years.
I walk past the property numerous times daily as do many others and never has anyone even suggested that we were not welcome on the beach. In fact this sign shown sits just in front of there steps to the pool and not at their property line on the beach. I certainly think the sign should be changed to remove the word beach.
One of the best practices of the Bahamas are that the beaches are public and I applaud that and encourage as much public usage as possible.

I can't see how people are outraged or even surprised by the potential for tax sales. This should have been being done for ages. Pay your taxes or lose your property.
