The opinion of the masses is what is called a democracy. We vote on our laws and the majority wins….simple. You can feel how you want, but voting on issues create laws that we all have to follow, except when you voted no on the gambling referendum and the plp ignored your vote. Now ,that is more dictatorship .

The government is never pro active, always reactive. You can see this happening a mile way, yet the government does not prepare for this. My heart and prayers go out to the family . You should not have gone through this . Some of us , if not all of us , are with you in prayer. To the government and politics….whatever. Once you , your family , your sweethearts are fine, everything koopasetic!!

While I understand the parents, are the kids doing enough to maintain their environment? Are the kids destroying school property year round and then demanding that the government fix the problems? For example, how can you throw a piano in the toilet , then complain that the landlord needs to fix the toilet. How is it that school repair is in the millions every year? So, parents can complain, but also consider your children’s action in the equation.

On so many fronts. A lot of remarks are said in the Bahamas that all need consideration. A teacher tells a class that we will never have a white Prime Minister , in referring to Brent symonette, all black Bahamians reference to Haitians in the country , also to all other foreign expat, talk show hosts whom do not correct black Bahamians when they refer to the same above references…it continues. Black Bahamians say the United States has racism…black Bahamians boldly speak against white Bahamians . It continues…

Okay, let us stop getting emotional and try to ascertain all the facts. Kindly, stop letting every news clip wire you up and simple try to find out the facts. When the US accused The Bahamas of perpetrating slavery by our doctor hiring practices everyone got emotional . Guess what, it was true . The government acted dumbfounded and had to come back an say okay, it is true. Citizens travel to other countries for visas and passport validations. This is normal. We, as Bahamians, just have a thing for our southern brothers and sisters. Take the emotion out of the equation and look at things logically. I humbly submit to you.

This is a part of our culture. This is the story of our life. What is the saying? As things change everything stays the same, or something like that. Bahamians and the Bahamian government both , do not like to pay bills. Everyone likes the glory , but no one wants to live the story.

bahamianson says...

And , are we not paying now? What the hell are you talking about? Do you not see the chaos on the ground?
