The police need to take control of the streets . They need to go to the tracks and check for licensed bikes or other traffic infractions. Bamboo shack went up on their conch snacks a few years ago. Conch snack and chicken in the bag was the poor mans meal. The Damn poor man can’t afford a conch snacks. The fish fry use to be for the poor man . Go there now and tou better step with $30-40 for a dish that used to be $12. The fish fry is for tourists, not bahamians. First Caribbean Bank made money from bahamians for over 40-50 years. When they didnt need bahamians anymore the closed the dang banks on the islanda. Stopped face to face transactions. The 70 year okds made them and now they kick them to the curb. Disgusting. I switched to commonwealth bank . To hell with foreign banks!

Why is it not illegal for government to give out no bid contracts? This has a massive potential to breed corruption, yet no government makes it against the law , so people can go to jail. It is the people’s money , and officials are paying these contractors with the people’s money, not theirs. This should be against the law! We need laws to put corrupt politicians in jail not bury them until the next election because voters clearly forget.

Well, property goes up and greedy bahamians will sell top properties to rich foreigners. Harbour Island is a model of what is yet to come. The landowners sold their properties for high prices , then spent the money. Now, their children can’t afford to buy land on the island they grew up on, they have to go to eleuthera to find property. New Providence is only 7by 21 . There is only so much you can do with it before the properties are totally out of reach. Nassuvians may have to start moving to the family of islands. When I was in collegeabout 30 years ago, it cost me $750 tocome back home for Spring Break , and I was in the USA. I asked the Delta Agent why it was so expensive to fly to the Bahamas. She said that I lived on a resort!! That’s it, we live on a resort , hence resort prices for everything. This place is our home , bit our home is a resort. Young people have to really think about career choices and whom they marry. Better marry someone whom can help you financially to fight on this island and in this country
