Why was The basketball player Jonquel Jones allowed to to attend the function in short pants and tennis shoes with no gloves and no hat? I thought there was protocol that had to be recognized. Can you approach the king of England in any kind of way! The Governor General represents the King and she should be recognized as such.
Who would want to be a teacher when you have to provide supplies for children , come in early, leave late , get disrespected in class from students, afraid to discipline them , afraid of their parents, children can’t speak English , children consumed with other things and don’t want to learn, school in disrepair, school gets flooded , you have to grade assignments on holidays , and weekends. That is a messy profession.
Concerns well founded. Does anyone know when the government has not cherry picked? It is what it is. If you have a lot of money , you are the cherry, and will be picked.
This article is troubling on many fronts and does not give too much optimism. Where are we going to get the children from? Majority of Bahamian girls have 6-8 for different boys before the age of 30. Same girls are jobless and living in cars. Are these children going to be able to read and write at an average level? Will they be able to qualify for an entry level job? Will employers have to foot the bill and train them? This is a disaster.
Mousetraps? That kind of talk sounds like he doesn’t believe in jail cells. Clearly , he must rethink his position as minister . As minister he had to defend the mandate that he was given . That type of talk sounds like he believes in slap on the wrist punishment or even , no punishment at all.
Ai use in the classroom? Don’t worry , the government can’t keep the electricity on long enough for it to be a problem , and Cable Bahamas can’t keep the WiFi on long enough for it to cause a disturbance. No worries, we good.
