IfI de water disconnect in dese people's house then the washing machine would not work and no more illegally gotten money could be laundered if indeed they ever did obtain any monies illegally
I fired a worker for stealing many years ago whose name is the same as one of the board members, I wonder if it is the same person? The parent of this person worked in the field of education.
Brilliant. Government sponsored compassion in action. Can we also take a dozen Christian Syrian orphaned refugees as well? What a great example to the world and would gets lots of positive world press coverage with the right publicity.
The Hon Jeffrey L. Lloyd is taking a correct and brave stand in addressing a problem that most of us would prefer to ignore. At one time this country was 90% Euro-Bahamian and 10% Afro-Bahamian. The former group had few children per family, the latter group had more children per family. Because of this the ethnic make up of the country changed. It was not the end of the country, the country just evolved into a different one, not better and not worse but most would say more equitable. The same thing is happening again with residents, ,legal and illegal, from Haitian parents having larger families than residents of second, third, fourth generation immigrant parents. The various ethnic groups that together make up our country will change again but this is nothing to be scared of, our country will continue more equal than before.
When looked after by The Imperial Order of the Daughters of The Empire this was always beautifully kept. It was the most restful and dignified cemetery on New Providence. The fine and caring ladies of the local branch of the Order are no longer with us for the most part and the Order has disbanded it's Bahamian branch. The cemetery will never again have such loving care.. You never miss the water 'til the well run dry. The cemetery contains a memorial to a now deceased Bahamian resident who won the Victoria cross for gallantry in the face of the enemy. This man is an alumni of the school in England that I, and several other Bahamians attended. I would see jis memorial plaque at the school on a daily basis for many years. His pendants live amongst us today.
