I have been told that the problem is not just the lack of maintenance of the plant itself but also the infrastructure to distribute the power, the cables are old or not of sufficient capacity to handle the load. The maintenance problem is fixable more easily than the cable problem which will require a significant investment.
Kaliki, sorry I missed your post before it was removed but I can probably recreate the essence of it from your previous ones. So I agree with you totally whatever it was that you wrote.. Fred Mitchell is a potential danger to democracy. It has puzzled me for years that the Tribune has always been so keen to publish his self-serving drivel.
I wonder what ulterior motive John thinks Forbes Magazine could have? More likely the reporting is correct and Nassau is not a safe destination for women travelling alone.
Davis made lots and lots of money defending Columbian drug importers. Drugs have had a bad effect upon this country but Davis got rich defending those caught and prosecuted. He will make as bad a prime minister as Fweddy would.
so how many of your friends and relatives that you lent money to actually paid it back without any drama?, anyone? what no one? you got to be crazy to lend money to people in this country and so the banks are very careful otherwise they would be out of business. Look at how many default on loans from the Bahamas Development Bank, the Mortgage Corporation , the Educational Loan program. If you are criticising the banks then I want to know how much money you have loaned out, otherwise sit small and keep quiet.
