I would support the death penalty for government employees convicted of bribery or corruption charges, also all adulaters should be stoned to death publically. Anyone caught not going to church on Sunday should be put in the stocks for a day. Lots more but let's start with state sanctioned killings of convicted murderers. Oh, and rapists get castrated. Hope the judicial system does not make too many mistakes.
my passport run out and I can't get a next one so not allowed on the plane or the mail to deadman's cay either. sands at 50c sounds good though. I could afford to buy you 2 of them.
Marijuana is illegal because a white racist American government bureaucrat wanted to keep himself employed after the repeal of prohibition. Harry Anslinger was his name. He thought only Mexicans and black Americans smoked reefer and so both minority groups he considered legitimate targets for repressive laws. It is ironic that a black majority country like ours panders to this racist's view. We need more people who know history.
Hey Seaman, wakeup and actually bother to read the article. the Hon Brent Symonette was not minister for immigration when these people were registered.
Bail is granted because the Bahamas signed on to the International Conventions fo Human Rights several years ago. One of the conventions is not to imprison without trial. A trial within a reasonable length of time is a Human right. The Bahamas has a dysfunctional justice system such that it takes years to schedule a murder trial. Keeping the accused in jail for this length of time contravenes this fundamental human right so the accused are let out on bail with the results that we read about in the newspapers almost every day. 44 years of mismanagement by our elected leaders. Sad.
