the average Bahamian diet is appalling. It is based on meat and refined carbohydrates such as white rice, white flour, white grits and white sugar. ( 12 teaspoons of sugar in every cokesoda that you feed your child). This junk food diet has made us one of the top 5 most obese countries in the world. Obesity directly correlates to inactivity. These two put together lead to sickness. We are a very sick people and the crime is simply a manifestation of this.
