we are a third world country run by third world politicians. therefore we have third world power supply. if the power cables were buried underground then lightning would not be an issue but this would cost more money than we are willing to invest. it has been more important to fly mitchell round the world or have a large delegation accompany christie to meet the pope or to spend four hundred million dollars propping up zns over the past decades.
the core value of the uBP was a paternalistic racism commonly acceptable in the world of the 1950's that the white races were somehow endowed with an inherent ability to govern people that was superior to that possessed by other races. This mind-set has of course now been discredited completely. However the core value of the PLP has always been to uplift the Afro-Bahamians and if this was to be at the expense of the Caucasian-Bahamians, then so be it because" it is our turn now.".The result is that the government finances are seen as a resource to be redistributed to PLP supporters as the Government finances were once controlled almost exclusively by the Caucasian-Bahamians. .Giving million dollar contracts to Afro-Bahamians is not seen as wrong by the likes of Perry Christie and his supporters but rather the righting of an historic wrong.. Decades after Black Majority rule, Coming up to two centuries after the British abolished slavery, it is time for the PLP to progress beyond it's original and outdated mandate. The tenure of Perry Christie was a disaster not only because of his own personal weaknesses but also because of the weakness of the political foundation on which he stood. Philip Davis might be making the same mistake of building his political career on a shaky foundation.
it seems very unlikely that shane gibson would do something correct but i guess it is possible. perhaps credibility gap told the truth about something as well. perhaps fweddy will even marry a woman and have children.
whoever was driving this vehicle has responsibility for this senseless loss of an innocent life. the driver should be proseceuted for manslaughter. a jail sentence night encourage the other stupid people out there to correctly secure children being carried in theircars.
totally agree with you, reality check. however politics comes into play on this one. because the plp did not retire Arthur Foulkes as GG when they assumed power so the FNM is doing the same. Of course Arthur always paid his taxes, worked for a living and contributed to building this nation. On the other hand the one we have now is a freeloader who has contributed little or nothing and I can not remember her ever working a real job unless it was when she was much younger amd not on the political stage.
