I agree with the things you say. I'm willing to bet that there wasn't a project manager in the real sense of the word (PMP certified, etc). I'm willing to bet that the acceptance test was just a demo, and the government did not understand what they were buying or the limitations of the crappy website. Once again, the government needs a CIO who knows IT and knows what the hell he/she is doing.

Kwasi Thompson, in spite of all his high-faluting words, as Minister of State for Grand Bahama, has done nothing but pontificate. He is a lame-duck, do nothing minister. Where is the Tech Hub?

France has draconian tax laws based on the Napoleonic code. Tax evasion is a national sport in France, and they are clamping down. BNP Paribas, the big French bank was the thin edge of the wedge in the decline of The Bahamas Financial Services. They have been known to play footsie with money laundering and other regulations. They saw the writing on the wall, and sold their Bahamas book of business in 2009-2010 timeframe. The entity that bought it, had to purge over 100,000 accounts that were in violation of the fatf, fatca, oecd, the John Doe subpoena, and tax authorities around the world (notably Canada where there was a large preponderance of French Canadian accounts). Recently France passed new laws to tax the wealthy and there was a flight of capital. This action is to stem that and get needed tax dollars into their struggling economy.

Mr. Coulson, I would advise you to look up the history of junior resource plays, especially in Canada. It is purely a stock play and they have no intention of drilling. A simple search will show you that they publicly stated in 2012 that they are very close to drilling.

The junior resource penny stock paradigm depends on generating fake false positive news every once and awhile to put up the price by a penny or half penny to pump and dump some more stock. It's a great way to make some money for yourself. These operations have been going on with mining since the 1920's in Canada, and I think that there was only one junior resource company that brought in a mine in a 100 years, and it was by accident.

The company does spend a bit of money in what is known as "Look busy, Jesus is coming", but it never amounts to anything. There was a book by Canadian publisher McLellan & Stewart who put out a book by Ivan Schaffer, now out of print, called "The Stock Promotion Game" that outlined the whole sordid business in Canada. Junior resources are aimed at unsophisticated investors who often lose their entire investment.

However the scheme makes millionaires every year without ever discovering resources.

See, if it were properly engineered as a smart platform, instead of a website, there would be logic to automatically assert Valuations and do a database change to allow pickup. The current website is just that, a stupid website instead of an engineered platform.

LOL, it's religionists like this that is holding the Bahamas back as an enlightened nation. The hypocrisy is remarkable. Believe what you want, but don't try to force your views on anyone else. Why do you think that bishops sweetheart and chase Mammon -- they know that there are no afterlife consequences or any consequences at all, because of the backwards folks who believe 2000 year old fairy tales.
