What an azz?!! His government destroyed any credibility in FDI with its treatment of Izmirlian. Does this PLP monkey thing that nobody in the world knows about it? Further more, does this banana-eater think that FDI for tourism is still the answer? It appears so. As Minister of Investment, he has done SDA and pontificates as if the pseudo-wisdom was coming out of his mouth instead of his azz!
Its time that Bahamians invested in themselves, instead of being crumb-catchers under the table of rich foreigners.
I see that the Tribune is censoring political debate. They have taken away the comments in the article about Bowe resigning from the DNA because of his ethical issues with Lincoln Bain.
There are stories about Lincoln Bain, that if they ever came out, they would be truly shocking. This is a case for The Punch-type paper to shed some light on Mr. Bain.
Umm .. do we tie our doctors' hands when it comes to medical care, due to infrastructure? Has anyone toured PMH lately and compared it to any hospital on the continent?
The other big problem is consanguinity among the "illegitimate" births. The statistics are frightening. I spoke to a person whose work was funded by the Clinton Foundation. Although the primary study was the transmission of the AIDS vector, the genetic material was assayed for the breast cancer gene and consanguinity. As a result of the study, there was a huge genetic sample set and the odds of a newborn Bahamian child born out of wedlock, have a 50-50 probability of both the mother and the father having a common ancestor within the last three generations. This may explain why Bahamian women have breast cancer at much higher rates than the rest of the population, and why Bahamians have a higher incidence of diabetes and hypertension.
There is a huge socio-economic problem in the Bahamas.
