I suspect that if there is a deep division in the FNM party, it is between the enlightened ones and the rest. The unenlightened ones want someone with a sword and a trumpet. The enlightened ones recognise the facets of leadership:

The PLP have leadership figured out -- obviously the FNM doesn't. Once a leader is elected, you get behind the leader and you follow. The PLP does this perfectly. Christie is a corrupt, brainless, puppet who is cognitively impaired and criticism of his leadership is muted, and only implied -- except for the dissidents that have broken -- like Rollins. That's because they have a network of punishers. The FNM, being the democratic party that it is, doesn't punish dissent. They don't personally villify those dissenters like you. The FNM realises that only a fool likes to hear the sound of his own voice or the voice of the party line. Minnis has enough of a cognitive toolkit to fix the country -- or at least he is the best there is because of his knowledge of economic processes gleaned from business.
The real test of a leader is not when he doesn't have power, but when he dons the mantle of power. The last thing that the FNM needs, is another brainless Christie copycat or someone who doesn't understand higher principles of governance, economics and business. It's time for the government of the country to get down to business, and the business of saving it through prudent business, fiscal, monetary, and justice policies.

He is a lousy politician, but we don't need anymore politicians. We need leaders that can fix the country, and Minnis has the best skill set for that.

Minnis is not very good at politics, but he is good at business. The country needs a business-minded CEO and he probably would be good at it, however, he needs to sharpen his boots and kick some more butt.
The only reason that Nottage made his speech was that Bradley Roberts publicly chastised Nottage and said that he was not doing enough to stop crime.
The PLP are going to pin the crime problems on Nottage and make him a scapegoat, just like they did when he ran against Christie when Ping was forced to step down. Since Christie was the rube, unpolished vomit-swimmer and Swindling's choice, and Nottage was the polished, erudite doctor, the Pingdomites started a smear campaign against Nottage, insinuating that he was an abortionist because he is a gynecologist, and even smearing his wife Portia. She was an entertainer, and the Pingdomites insinuated that she offered more than entertainment services to guests. It looks like they are setting up Nottage to take a fall again.
And as for you birdie, and your support for the PLP, I don't think you act stupid, I'm sure it's the real thing. I am waiting for the moment when you realise that voting for the PLP is like masturbation, it's all good and fun until you realize that you are only screwing yourself!
The really interesting fact of the matter with PLP governance is watching its decline from decorum and quasi-civilised behaviour to a complete animalistic degeneration. For example Maynard Gibson pretended to get legal advice on the auditor general's report, and now she just filed the winding up by herself. Perry went from saying that he had dead good news to questioning the sanity of the developer, and revealing that he is not entirely compos mentis himself. Damian got his wings clipped so he is filing against the FNM on a personal basis. Brad Roberts knows no civilised tone and reverts to name calling. Fred is more and more evil, vengeful, racist and unenlightened every day. They have turned from governance to bullying, with no one in control, and a descent into mayhem.
No one is in charge. The gang of PLP thugs are way past the bounds of democratic action and decorum. The country is going to hell in a handcart and they are pushing it faster down the slope.
Perhaps they know that they are in the final days before the anarchy and collapse and are all feathering their nests to be able to weather the storms. They have the mentality of criminal looters,
