Tech tourism would work better. Tech folks are holding conferences all of the time on everything from programming to new paradigms. I was in a hotel in Atlanta and walked through the conference center, and there were 6 tech seminars, conferences, meet-ups, symposiums and product launches going on all in the same day.
Sigh ... why don't we teach them proper English first.
On another note, speaking of financial services, I am on a mailing list of banking jobs. I got a notice saying that RBC was hiring. The notice said please send your CV to RBC, 3rd Floor West St. Clair, 7-9 St. Clair Avenue, Port of Spain, Trinidad, West.
The position was reporting to Trinidad but located in the Bahamas. Wondering if this is a harbinger of things to come.
Actually, it is a great business idea needing minimal equipment. I used to date a woman who worked at a competing bank, and I used to take her to the outdoor cinema held at the National Gallery. You could buy an (overpriced) glass of wine in a plastic glass and watch a movie under the stars. You would think that it would be distracting but it wasn't. They had a neat little electronic projector hooked to a sound system and they plunked a DVD into the projector. The movies were good, and it was romantic. I had several wonderful evenings with her at the movies until I found out that she was married.
So true. Chester is a smart man. He knew of the malfeasance of the PLP and chose to wear its stinking coat, fleas in all, and to roll in the same dirt of corruption as the rest of them.
Chester disappointed me deeply. Respect is won in inches and lost in yards. I no longer have a high opinion of Chester. He is an opportunist without a moral and ethical compass.
Looking forward to the PLP Pillsbury Doughboy Davis taking the Bank Lane march in handcuffs once the forensic audits are through. Gonna hire the same Jamaican women that he used to hire to cheer him up from the sidelines while he is marching to his Fox Hill destiny.
