What a bunch of A-ho$ls. I am not a big fan of more government programs but, what do they want? Stew fish, eggs benedict, maybe bagels and lox? This is a great thing for kids who have nothing. If you do not like it and can do better, then feed your kids breakfast at home before school. Just shameful. Tuna and grits is a Bahamas breakfast go too even for people with expendable income. I wonder how many of these people waiting in that Wendy;s drive through line out on cable beach that never ends.
Doing anything right now that would be inflationary is really bad for everyone and all businesses. A 90 dollar increase in min wage would only cause more inflation and prices to rise and probably layoffs and business closures for those just hanging on.
Why should a person on another Island be mandated to fly to Nassau for a class that the government is mandating? If it is not profitable for MVTS to offer classes on the family islands that is not those persons problem. The government if it wants to stick to its guns then needs to subsidize either MVTS to travel to those islands or subsidize the persons travel to Nassau for the class..
I wonder how much the government is paying as a % in credit card fees. It probably is less than the cash that goes missing but, I am curious as to what the bank is making off our taxes and fees being paid by CC.
We need protection from the banks first. Basically all loan sharks these days and pushing cashless so they can make 3-5 percent every time you want to use your own money.
No Bahamian has the resources that RCL has (25.5 billion). So are we to reserve the entire Bahamas for outsiders with more money and resources? Bahamians need not apply you are not good enough! Thanks see ya bye bye. Well reserve you a job handing out towels.
Just bulldoze every building etc. in The Bahamas older than 50 years to the ground and rebuild them new. That should solve all our problems. Who needs any of this old stuff?
